Hands down, best math teacher. Turned me from being terrified of math to seriously considering a field of study that is dependent on high level mathematics. Not only teaches you what you need to know to be successful in the next course by teaching ahead, she begins EVERY problem by breaking it down to remedial level and really emphasizing rules.

I looooved Trish. She was also my Math 26 teacher and she is just the best at giving help and although she can be sassy, she's a great instructor and makes math sort of fun with all of her sound effects.

She's a very good teacher, you just have to not take her forceful talk seriously. She does have pride in her growing up and she really knows the material and keeps up to learn new things like how to use and teach us about graphing calculators. I chose to take her another semester because she knows how to teach, just don't rub her the wrong way.

I wouldn't recommend this instructor to anyone taking Math 30. She is inpatient when describing things, which leads to shouting. She brags about herself, and in office hours she will not stop talking about herself. I'm glad I met her, so I know what type of person I don't want to become. Take another Calc 1 teacher.

Prof. Cabral is amazing. Her videos explain the concepts and teach you to think like a mathematician without being overcomplicated. The math is tough at times but you WILL learn it if you just watch the lectures. I loved the class and curriculum. Be prepared to work for an A but the class is good for anyone really wanting to understand algebra.

I had such serious math anxiety an this online class SAVED ME!!!! If you struggle with math please, I BEG you to take this class online, you can even rent the lectures on DVD. Trish is a FANTASTIC teacher and the lectures are AMAZING; you can pause; rewind as many times as you need to till you get it. Can't do that in a classroom!

I loved this class. Trish is a no nonsense insstructor and expects you to work at learning math. She is very helpful and keeps more office hours than she is required to. Her tests aren't difficult if you have done the homework. Just don't be late to class.

Great teacher, had her two semesters in a row. She's very serious about her subject and can come off rude to those who are easily offended or don't try in her class. I like to joke around with her because she always acts so serious, but she really does have a sense of humor and is nice. Take the class seriously, and you'll be just fine.

My experience may be out of date, since I knew her when she was at Lassen College, not Butte. But, Trish is hands-down the best teacher I have ever had, period. She didn't like the text we had at Lassen and used it only for homework problems, but you could have WRITTEN a textbook from her lecture notes. Great personality, great at engaging us!

My favorite teacher by far. I'm a little confused by how people give her less than a 5 for clarity. I do not think there is a human on this planet that is capable of being more clear than Cabral. She explains things perfectly and thoroughly. She even all but tells you exactly what is on her exams. I took away so much from her lectures. Easy class.

Best Math instructor I have ever had hands down. Very clear, teaches with insight from multiple learning styles, and expects high levels of effort. She is an amazing woman, I have the utmost respect for her as a person as well as an instructor. It has been years since I have taken her class but when I help a friend learn Algebra I open her book.

Trish is definitely an instructor to remember! I literally did not like her at all up until the end of her class. But I did realize after her class ended how well she prepared me! :)Yes, she is hard and expects a lot, but she is that way for a reason. If you decide to take one of her classes be prepared for ALOT of quizes, tests, and homework.

I wish I could have Ms. Cabral for all of my Math-related classes. I'm taking Calc I this semester (in the exact same class room) and it's just not the same without Cabral. She is very logical and smart. The book she uses, which she wrote herself, is bar-none and puts popular published College Algrbra books to shame.
