He's awesome!!! You basically just talk about stuff going on in the media in the world for two hours and he's really funny, so he makes it enjoyable but I also probably learned more from this class than I have from any all semester! He brings in some really ineteresting documentaries, too. You need the text for the midterm and final--thats it.

Freshman Seminar sucks but U****bwa made the class worth going to. Hes a very nice guy with a good heart. He can help any problem and if he cant he will send you to someone who will. As for actual teaching skills im not sure, but i enjoyed having him for a teacher.

ok..freshman seminar is a horrible class, so i have no idea how good of teacher he really is. i emailed him like 4 times with questions though and he ignored me every time. i think he is a good person and could be a good teacher but sometimes doesnt put in full effort. but then again the class is a joke, and he wasnt the one who created it

I took him for TV Editing in 2001. My highschool teacher taught me more than him. Once I asked Ukumbwa to critique my first rough draft. I was expecting some input on how to improve on it. They were more like insults. The next day I drop the class, then I drop my major. Teachers are surpose to inspire you to be creative. He's not one of them.

I was a little disappointed. Ukumbwa is an awesome awesome guy, but his class was a little too easy... I was hoping to come away from it with a little more knowledge. For example, at the end of the semester, I was suprised to find out he'd taught the class before.... I thought we were guinea pigs the whole time... not enough concrete learning

Ukumbwa SUCKS! He is the worst grader in the world. I passed in all my assignments on time and scored above average on all of the tests and quizes and didnt miss one class and he somehow gave me a C+ Thats all i have to say. HE SUCKS!
