Kind of a pointless class. Cognitive Psych involved a TON of outside work and classes were completely pointless. She's very funny, however she doesn't specify what she wants for tests. She gives a complete study guide, but it has to be perfect in order to get an A.

I love this woman. She definitely has a sense of humor and makes class really interesting. She genuinely cares about her students and will provide as much extra help as possible. She is also my adviser and goes above and beyond to help me while making jokes the entire time. TAKE AS MANY PSYCH CLASSES WITH HER AS YOU CAN!!

I was suuuper dreading taking this class, but Professor McKinney really presents the material in a way that is comprehensive, and also interesting. 5 tests & HW's all semester that really prepare you for them. If you have to take this class, take it with her.

I liked Prof. McKinney as a person, but I felt like her teaching was all just everything the texts provided with little effort on her side. When reviewing cog labs, its clear shes not entirely adept with using the site and in my opinion unprepared to review them. I got the impression I didn't need the teacher to take the class.

I took physio over the summer with DrMac and it was awesome. I retained a LOT of what she taught. She even bought the class study guides that went with the book. If you get the chance do research with her too! She cares about her students success even after graduation!!!

Dmac has been the greatest, most influential teacher in my psych career. I've never heard a single racial comment come from her and I've taken 5 classes. Dmac's research includes work in a prison setting where she's racially sensitive to everyone. She pushes students to perform their best, she may become moody when students slack and will vocalize

Great instructor! I failed stats the last time--this time I am doing the same stuff but I totally understand it. Class very laid back and fun. Easy to approach with questions, and it feels like she wants you to succeed, not like she is out to fail you. Take stats with her!

Got sick and withdrew first time I took this class, but returned to go into the final having having a 99.62%. Very good at explaining where numbers come from, even when students don't pay attention and ask the same question over and over. Her patience is astounding. I got more annoyed at other students than she did. Take stats from her.
