Very HARD!!! He expects the student to know this stuff as well as he does. Way too much reading! He assigned over 100 pages every week. He expected me to answer these very complex and intricate questions about the material. I would not take him again...ever!!!

Nice and knowledgable of Americna Literature. There is alot of assigned reading. Do not fall behind on the reading, or you're completley lost on the lectures/discussions. I found myself distracted alot of times. Best to sit closest to the front as possible. Soft voice. Suttle jokes- often he was the only one laughing. Good guy!

Great teacher very nice and helpful. He knows what he is talking about . He is very good. Come to class in order to do the class participation assignments which are based on the readings. Tests/more like quizes are ALL multiple choice and extremely easy...that is if you come to class.

First English class I've taken at TNCC (out of 4) that I enjoyed. He's so sweet and unintimidating. Very knowledgeable. His lectures are interesting. He speaks softly and can be difficult to hear. Just do your reading, come to class most of the time and use his study guides and you'll do well.

Took this about a year ago. Class was quite difficult. Seemed like we talked about the same thing forever. Talked about the 19th Century and managed to slip away and start talking about the pilgrims and Indians! Nice man, just seemed more interested than I did. Will take this class again, just with a different teacher.
