Comment:

Vance is a great professor and a very kind person. After having a really rough semester (of my own doing), I didn't attend class very much because she doesn't take attendance and that REALLY hurt me. Go to class and take advantage of her extra credit and memorize the study guides and you'll do great. Final is really long so prepare in advance.

Dr. Vance is a great professor, but the lectures are lengthy and boring. All of the notes are posted online, along with quiz answers and homework answers. All homework and quizzes are used for extra credit. Tests contain lots of material, but if you go to class and study the review before time, it is manageable to get a decent grade.

Dr. Vance is an incredible teacher who gives you every opportunity to succeed in her class. She offers lots of points by making all her quizzes and hw extra credit. Her three tests are not impossible, however, you still need to study to pass the class with an A or B. At the end of the day show up to class and do well on the final & you're golden.

TAKE HER IF YOU CAN! All notes are clear and posted online, test questions are right from the notes. All quizzes and hw are extra credit and she gives you the answers beforehand. You will need to study, but it is all memorization and she makes it as easy as it can be. Tests mimic the study guides exactly. A on the final means an A in the class.

Don't listen to the comment below this one!! Vicki is awesome! Quizzes are purely extra credit, no hw, posts all notes online, no textbook, and posts study guides! It's true that she doesn't put grades in BB until after final, but its easy to keep track of your grades. I only studied day b4 tests, got Bs and Cs! Easy A if you put in the effort.

She is an absolutely horrendous excuse for a professor. She never grades papers on-time and does not submit any grades to blackboard until after the final. There is no real homework whatsoever, but she DOES NOT TEACH WHATSOEVER. She is by-far my worst professor.

A fair amount of work, but if you go to class and study the lecture notes she presents in class and puts on Blackbord you'll do fine. She puts the answers to the extra credit quizzes on Blackboard too and tells you when they're going to be. Really nice lady.

Comment:

Vance is a great teacher that really cares about her students. She isn't concerned with drowning students in useless material. She gives pop quizzes for extra credit but it's to make sure students understand the material. Class isn't mandatory but if you are going into higher level classes going is important. Overall she is like a cute grandma :)

attendance isn't required, but it's worth showing up because she often gives out quizzes that are completely extra credit. she says exactly what's going to be on the exams, so look over her lecture notes (she has them online) and read through the study guides and you'll be fine

Vance is a good professor, she puts her notes online and everything is explained in everyday words that you're going to understand. She always either emails about a pop quiz before class or tells you about it the class before. The only thing to wary about is her tests, while pretty easy, can be looking for vary specific things.

Attendance not required but there are some extra credit quizzes and homework you have to be present to get the credit but she does email and post on BB to tell you when they are and the answers are online BB. Gives study guides for every test and they are exact and on test review day she goes over and gives all the answers. You won't regret taking.

Dr. Vance really wants her students to succeed; she provides extra credit and always reviews before the test. Her notes are online, the quizzes are quick and painless, and the exams have matching, short answer, and multiple choice questions. The only catch- her multiple choice questions can be really tricky and it's a lot of information.

I love Dr. Vance I took her for Bio 101 over the summer and got an easy A. She gives a ton of extra credit so its impossible to fail and her test are exactly like her study guides. Just study the power points and you will be just fine. I loved her and would take her again.

Dr. Vance makes Bio101 as easy as she can. She posts her own, hand written notes on Blackboard because she thinks the book talks about material that you do not need to know. She assigns homework and quizzes that are extra credit. Just turning in a paper with your name on it gets you a point. She offers lots of tips for exams during office hours.

Vance was my favorite professor this year. Not only does she provide ALL notes online, but is very clear when going over them. She gives extra credit quizzes which are easy and gives very specific study guides, so study them and you will get an A. She is an amazing teacher, i would definitely take again and recommend for anyone to take.

Dr. Vance is a really great lecturer, and provides numerous times to pull up your grade. She gives extra credit for showing up to class, even though it is not mandatory. However, she does not offer a set office hour time. If you need help, it is difficult to contact her. Overall a great professor and an easy class.

Vicki is an amazing professor and you can tell how passionate she is towards biology. No textbook required. She posts all of the notes to blackboard so you don't even have to go to class. She gives quizzes and homework for extra credit. The study guides outline everything you need to know for the exams. I wish she was teaching 102. Highly recommend

Dr. Vance is THE BEST PROF EVER!!! literally though, she explains it so much better than any other proofs do. Her hws and quizzes are for extra credit so do go to class because it will help your grade a lot. her tests are long but if you study the study guide she gives you, you won't have to worry about anything else! do take her and save your GPA!
