must attend class if u want to pass his weekly quizzes and midterms. quizzes are okay as long as you study your notes. but midterm 1 was hell :( class average was 64 out of 101. told us to study the notes and hw and we should be fine. but materials on midterm looked foreign. I managed to pass the class with C+. I'm glad I survived this nightmare.

Tough class, but Professor Brajer was great. Took in summer, so lots of reading and lectures are a must. Grades on a curve, drops lowest exam score, but exams are really tough (multiple choice/short answer/graphs). Take advantage of his office hours, he is always willing to help and responds quickly to e-mails. Overall, great professor and class!

I think Brajer is use to teaching higher level ECON. compared with all others, Brajer is in the top 3. Subjects he teach are tough to begin with, he's VERY helpful if you ask questions and go to office hours. Class is Math Econ. Hard course to begin with, but I couldn't think of a better professor to teach the subject.

This class isn't easy, and you have to keep up by attending and doing well on weekly quizzes. But Prof. Brajer does a great job explaining everything and giving useful examples. And, he's got GREAT handwriting which is important with all the formulas!

This class was absolutely awful! I got my first D EVER from this class. The material is challenging and his graphs from lectures are really confusing. I went to his office multiple times for help and he made me feel like an idoit every time. I studied A LOT and still failed. Take some one else if possible.

so the material is REALLY hard. but brajer is AMAZING! you have to go to class because his lectures are critical for passing. if you miss a lecture, it will be hard to learn. weekly quizes, midterm, final. lots of homework (not graded, optional) to help you learn. you WILL learn in this class. i found it to be one of my favorite classes i've taken

Great Professor. I took Howard for 310 and I got a D, I took Brajer the following semester and I got an A. I felt like I truly learned it with Brajer unlike being lost with Howard. Always willing to help. Take him if you can.

Well, he is a very good professor :) I liked being in his class... but THIS CLASS IS HARD!! fear not though, he does help, if you ask for it... or go to his office hours. You don't have to turn in homework, there are 3 tests and the final... he'll drop the lowest grade! :) also 3 quizes... i love the class but international econ is hard...

I don't appreciate being let out 1.5 hours early (regularly) in a class this hard and then given a quiz the following week on topics he failed to cover. I tried to discuss this with him but all I got was the typical condescending professor who thinks the student is always wrong. He couldn't find any fault in his ways. Really sad in my opinion.

Attendance is not mandatory however a lot of the questions on the tests refer to "fun facts" he gave in class. Write everything he puts on the board or says in class. Tests are very difficult and reading every inch of the book is necessary.

Mathematical Economics is a difficult class. Brajer is a difficult professor. But overall, he is a very sharp and smart professor. He is very good at teaching, but at the same time he is hard. So if econ is your major and you want to learn...take him

Fist let me say that Math_Econ is a difficult class, no matter who teaches it. Brajer is a great Prof. A rundown of the class was weekly quizzes (he dropped the lowest 2. it helped us keep on top of the material) and 2 exams. His exams were challenging, but he curves. Great, caring professor, not "easy" though

You cant stay away from him coz he teaches manadtory courses.Very Very Very tough teacher. The 500 level courses are where he is the toughest. He is easier on undergrads. He is so clear when he teaches, but during the tests, he would give questions which are way too hard to crack in 2 hours.I dont remember anyone liking the class.

Prof. Brajer was a great teacher! His class was challenging but I felt like I learned a ton! He explained everything you needed to know and was more than willing to answer questions during class. Taught at a good pace. A lot of quizzes, but made sure you understood and were ready for the tests. Definitely recommend him!!

Keep up with the assigned problems and you'll do fine on the quizzes. The exams are more difficult. He will gladly spend as much time as needed in class to go over any of the assigned problems. The workbook needs to be updated to more closely match the textbook sequence. On the final, make sure you know how to work with "t-" scores (regression).

HE SHOWS ALOT OF EXAMPLES AND THEY ARE HELPFUL FOR THE QUIZES BUT LOOK OUT FOR HIS TESTS THEY ARE VERY MISLEADING AND YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHATS GOING ON! I STUDIED DID ALL THE HOMEWORK AND READ THE CHAPTERS AND I FAILED THE FIRST TEST ALONG WITH EVERYONE ELSE.

I liked him as a teacher. It was my second time taking the class, I got a D the first time and a B with Brajer. He gives good exambles and if you go to class and do the homework it shouldnt be a problem. He gives no + or - grades and a A starts at 85%
