Professor Fisher is a wonderful teacher. You can tell how passionate about anthropology he is. His classes can be easy to fall asleep in though, and can be quite boring. He does his best though and is always cracking jokes or trying to liven things up. There are only 4 exams and he drops the lowest of the first 3. He does offer extra credit.

Dr. Fisher is hands down my favorite professor and could very well be my favorite person. He is so caring and hilarious that it makes me look forward to class. I've never had a professor so invested in my personal success before. Passing this class is as easy as showing up and reading a couple good books

Dr. Fisher doesn't have his ppt available on BB or anywhere, you will need to come to class. 2 textbooks are used in this class. Just gotta take notes and master the glossary. He also gives hints for the exams. 3 non-cumulative tests, lowest one is dropped. Then lastly, non-cumulative final.

So I think a lot of people are tough on him but hes cool. Lectures are boring but if you pay attention to what he says and the powerpoint notes, you'll get a solid idea of what will be on the exam. make sure to read your textbook tho. about half the exams are based on info in them

Professor Fisher is very passionate about the subject which makes his lectures a little better. 4 exams (including the final, no midterm) and drops the lowest grade. NO FINAL PAPER! You can do up to 6 points extra credit for EACH exam. STUDY THE GLOSSARY ITEMS, IT WILL LITERALLY MAKE THE TESTS 10X EASIER!!!!!

He really knows his stuff and is passionate about it. 4 non cumulative tests. one of the first 3 can be dropped. Tests are based on half of the lecture material and half of what you will read. There are 2 textbooks, but you dont read all of them. He cuts out a lot and makes it clear what he wants u to know. Does offer ec and a mini review session

a genius when it comes to anthropology. information is presented very clearly. tests are straightforward and easy if you look over your notes and do the reading, which isn't bad because most of the reading and lectures are very interesting. i actually look forward to going to his class, definitely one of my favorites. dude is hilarious too

Fantastic professor. He is truly a genius in his field. Only 3 tests and final. You have to read and take good notes. Half his tests are on lecture material and half on the readings. If you engage yourself you will do fine. He drops the lowest test grade and offers extra credit.

He has a low, quiet and monotone voice and is hard to hear him. It is way too easy to stop paying attention in his class. I spent most, if not all, of my time browsing the internet because its so boring. His tests were kind of hard and you need to pay attention to pass, but again, it was really hard to do so :/

Dr. Fisher is definitely my favorite professor I've had at Towson. The tests are pretty difficult, usually half the class failed each test, so make sure you read and STUDY THE GLOSSARY and take good notes and you'll be fine. Very interesting content and clear explanations of everything. I will definitely be taking him again in the future.

Fisher is straight to the point and he knows his stuff. 3 Exams (lowest grade dropped) and 1 Final. His tests are tough and sometimes pick but definitely possible if you come to class and do the readings. It's some interesting material as well. I enjoyed taking this class. I would recommend taking it and I like him as a professor.

Do not take this class. Victor is extremely boring, and his tests are absurd. He gets so angry when half his class fails a test, but he must know that its not us, its him. I hated this class with every fiber of my being. Do yourself a favor and take this review seriously.

loved this dude. he's really funny but the lectures can seem to drag on at times. extremely clear about what you need to do and the exams are easy if you study a little for them and keep up with the readings. Really laid back and shows genuine interest and knowledge about the class

It's a very basic course. 3 exams and a final (drops the lowest test grade)and loads of extra credit. Requires a lot of reading because that's what the tests are based on and his lecture material. attendance isn't mandatory but every lecture is extremely important. If you just read the required material and pay attention and take notes, you'll pass

I would not recommend this class with this teacher. I'm a good student and I applied myself, especially for the term paper. When I received it back I was given C to C- with no indication what I had done wrong only that "he could not reward nor applaud naivety" Very unprofessional....

He clearly knows and enjoys the subject matter. I appreciate his enthusiasm, but the class can be painfully boring to sit through. No discussion, just lecture. No homework or presentations, just tests, which are scantron and tough. Textbook is important but he made a big deal about ignoring parts of it, which got confusing. Computers are welcomed.

Occasionally amusing, but not a fan of staying on topic. No clarity of expectations, wants you to hand over a library book so he can review it when he grades your paper. Nice enough, but I don't think I'm a fan

Excited going into it, regret not dropping it immediatly after the first class. I gave it 1 pt for easiness due to the fact that its nearly impossible to sit thru these horribly boring and absolutely useless and uninformative lectures. You will be sorry if you disregard my comment and take his class, I don't know how I am going to make it til may.

Personally I didn't do well, but Professor Fisher is a good professor! Has a quiet, raspy voice that can get boring though. MUST READ THE BOOKS otherwise you WILL fail. Attendance optional, but you should really go for the notes. His class is not easy and the material can be difficult but if you read and study diligently it is definitely doable!
