Magalis is honestly the best professor I have had so far. I had a hard time understanding math, and statistics throughout school and somehow, through taking his class, math and statistics makes so much sense. He loves questions and when students answer the questions he has. If you have a hard time with statistics and math, TAKE HIM!!!!

He's an AMAZING professor. He knows what he's talking about, and wants to make sure that you understand the material as well. If you don't understand something, ASK questions. HE LOVES QUESTIONS and also go to office hours. He will lead you through everything until it makes sense to you!! He really loves stats, and cares for his students. TAKE HIM!

Give him a chance, he is worth it!! Regardless of his high expectations which is expected in college, he cares a great deal about his students. I had him for both PSYC 212 and PSYC 314 and I could not image taking it with anyone else. He will help you through anything if you ask. These are not easy courses so put effort in and youll be fine!

DO NOT take physiological psychology with this man unless you already have a degree in neuroscience. The class is difficult enough already, but he does a horrible job of explaining concepts if you don't/barely understand. The lectures go way too fast, especially after he manages to get back on task after going off on tangents. Get ready to suffer.

Mr. Magalis was such an amazing Prof. I had him for Psysio and Stats and you can tell he loves what he teaches. This class is extremely hard but he is very knowledgeable about the course. I would recommend to take him, but be prepared to work. He also works with his students.

This man changed my college experience. He is one of the kindest and most caring professors I have EVER had. He also helped me grow a passion for research that I never knew I could develop. He talks a lot, but it is because he is so passionate about the topic and his students. He teaches because he loves it, and that shines through!

Magalis is willing to go out of his way to help you, but he honestly isn't the best professor past that. The exams do not make sense and the paper is ridiculous considering so many people have never written a research paper.

I liked his teaching methods a lot; may be tedious for some as he really hand-holds the class through the material. I prefer this style of teaching because I never feel left behind or unable to figure out answers either on my own or with his help as long as I attend class.

He's so quirky, but it works for him! He strongly believes in the power of demonstration so once stood outside in the freezing cold to show the affect of temp. on the body. And humped the floor to demonstrate lordosis. Kept me awake for the 8AM! Test are easy, plenty of extra credit and free points. Stats nut though. Encourages exploration :)

I would have enjoyed this class a lot more if it didn't emphasize evolutionary psychology and biological models as much. If biology and evolution turn you off, I would suggest another class. Otherwise it's pretty easy -- three tests (multiple choice, short answers) and a short project.

Physio can be a difficult class so if you need to, ask Magalis or his TA's for help. The worst thing about this class was that it was at 8am and 2.5 hours long.

The class itself was slightly challenging, but he tends to go off on tangents about things that do not pertain to the information you're learning. Kind of annoying. Be prepared to teach yourself for the exams. And be prepared to dig through every article the library has on file. Start your final paper first thing!

The course itself is challenging and requires a LOT of studying and your free time. However, the knowledge is useful in every day life. The professor is so silly and sweet, he knows his stuff and keeps up with current research. He made it much less of a burden. You do not want to miss class because so much work is covered in each class

The class is a little difficult because of the subject material, but Magalis is extremely willing to talk to you after class and explain things more thoroughly. By far the nicest and most willing to help out of all the professors I've had. Highly recommended.

ok so he is a great person, but he is so confusing! i took him for research methods and he changed my whole experiment to the point of me having absolutely no clue what was going on. he is very willing to talk to you, but you have to go talk to him five or six times to understand what he wants to get across.
