This is my first experience with this professor and it's not a great impression. Dr. Taylor, to his credit, does try to keep things interesting in his lectures, but it's only lecturing and the subject is not that interesting. Then there is the issue of Moodle. He doesn't use it for anything. Check your email often and find a way to save it all.

Dr. Taylor's lectures are somewhat boring at times. He is an easy grader as long as you provide support to the stance your taking. At the end of the semester you're to turn in a daily writing assignments. Don't put them off until the end. Easy 4.0

Taylor was an awesome teacher for this class. His lectures could get boring at times but made up for it with interesting stories and easy material. Tests are easy enough as long as you study what we talked about in class. GO TO CLASS every unexcused absence was 1 point off you final grade and it is only a 100 point class. Would take again.

Professor Taylor made Intro to Philosophy interesting. I found his tests easy if you take notes and study. I did not buy the book, I found it for free online. It is the 5th edition instead of the 6th but it is almost word for word the same. He expects people to participate in the class. He is funny and well informed in philosophy. I liked him.

VicTay is an awesome professor! Had for philosophy, very funny, intellectual, intriguing. Class participation required during discussion, easy on note taking. Book required. No HW but there is a thinking journal which I recommend keeping up on. Tests are easy but challenging. Highly recommend!

Very interested in educating his students&incredibly knowledgeable. Clearly understands the difficult concepts he is teaching but not good at articulating them to students-as a point of comparison, Dr. Kraft was great at making complex concepts understandable. I found his humor condescending & juvenile, but most people like him/find him witty

Very boring lectures, but only a few test, if you grind it out it pretty much and easy class just study and stay awake, not a lot of busy work so don't forget about the class because if you don't study you will fail but if you take the time to study it is pretty easy

Awesome guy! I recommend him to everyone and anyone. There were only 3 tests, but it was in essay format and he graded really easy. Im rearranging my schedule in order to have him again to complete ADR 1. He talks to students like we're his friends, very down to earth.

Never thought I would have liked this class as much as I did. Absolutely AWESOME professor- definitely tries to relate to your major as much as possible, even if you're not majoring in PHL. Hillarious, yet thought provoking conversations. No exams- only in-class essays and take-home essays. Super easy if you pay attention in class & take good notes

The only philosophy prof who could teach grad students at Harvard, Stanford etc. Brilliant. That being said he's not for everybody, if you're not into abstraction you'll be bored.
