Subject interesting, but teacher terrible. Nice, very smart, polite and fun but useless to the extreme. He expects you to already know what he's talking about; I don't think he understands that we are students. I only got a great mark because I worked my ass off and got in touch with various other professors from out of town to ask questions.

I took Medical Anthropolgy my first semester at McGill, and it is one tough class. Very interesting but difficult, expect a lot of reading, a lot of technical stuff, but the prof is great, smart and funny. Dont take it your fisrt semester

He gave us the Most BORING book to read. It was pointless and dry. Modernity: "I don't want to caricature, but I will." It's because you don't know ANYTHING! He doesn't seem into the field, seemed flustered while lecturing. Taught by asking questions while not providing any food for thought. AVOID!
