I agree with the other comments, she is picky about little things but it's really not that hard of a class in general. The big thing though is that they hybrid class sucks!! My roommate is in the same class now and I feel like she is learning way more about becoming a teacher as I feel I have learned nothing. I suggest taking the real class.

I liked this class. It was hybrid so we only met like 6 times. The papers are short and pretty easy. She can be pretty picky about them but she gives you numberous tried to correct them until it is right! She is a very nice professor too!

I would have liked to have taken the class as I feel I did not. If you "made an error" she would keep pointing it out. If you proved you were correct and she was in error "It was not a big deal" ...both were over the same situation. She is very limiting on what you can say they knocks off points for not giving enough details.

(online/in person course) The main problem was that she was ambiguous with assignments. Though they were drawn up clearly, she would take off points for things that weren't specified. This course was tedious and at times frustrating. You can get an A, takes some work though. She is understanding and can be very nice. Get on her good side.

Violet was an excellent professor. The class wasn't a joke like many educ classes seem to be. There are lots of presentations, so you learn from your peers. She's flexible and fair. Her dry humor makes the class interesting. I recommend her!

She comes across as very strict, but she's not too bad. She gives you the options of tests or quizzes, and you get to pick your grading scale as a class. Her quizzes, and tests I imagine, are very thorough and very hard, she puts in a lot of tricks. The class takes hardwork, but you learn a lot too.
