Kind of a confusing class. The group paper and presentation have no clear assignment sheet. GO TO CLASS, she offers attendance points sometimes and ALL of exam materials come from lecture, not book. Pretty good professor, very straight forward.

The exams are poorly written. The answers are many times her opinion "the best answer is her answer" when many times its not and sometimes they are just very vague. Also take everything she says with a grain of salt. Not everything is true that she says. Ask your other professors!

Attended every class and thought I had a great understanding of her "material." M.C. questions on exam seemed to have multiple answers aimed at tricking you. Barely got a C. Project was tough and little direction is provided but criticism is plentiful. Seems to be on a power trip... you do need this class to graduate.

Absolute best teacher at Iowa State. If you don't take her for 478, you are selling yourself short.She gives very relevant, clear to understand. Project is tough, but that is the purpose. Wish all teachers at Iowa State were like her.

One of the best I've had at ISU, period. She knows about the world around us and wants to be sure you do too. If you don't get at least a 'B' in her class you are an idiot. Go to class, discuss, listen, and you'll have no problems with the exams. She comes across as a hard-nosed professor, but you quickly realize she's quite friendly and helpful.

Great class! She talks about relevant issues and gives some good advice for after graduation. She can seem a little intimidating at first, but is really funny and interesting. No homework, and second test was optional. Don't buy the textbook, and don't put anything in your presentation that you can't explain or she will call you out right there.

Amazing teacher!I learnet alot from her.Go to class and take notes,you'll do well.I took her class in the summer so we only had one test which wasnt bad at all. She gave 8 short answer and you can choose 6 which was helpful.For the group project ,you need to know what you are saying because she knows alot about each industry!SHE IS AWESOME!!

Absolutely the best teacher of my academic career. I said best, not eastiest. She expects the best from you and will help you to get it. I learned more from her than the rest of my classes that semester combined. Super interesting!

Would not recommend her for a teacher. Unfortunately this class is required and she teaches MGMT 478 which is also required. I went to class everyday and still got a D. Lectures are pointless. THe exams suck.

Virginia is waaaaay better in 478 than in 370!!!!! Her tests are totally over her lectures, plus she adds in bonus info just to get us thinking and understanding how the world really is. She appreciates people who actively seek to understand.

Her lectures were very interesting, tho they didn't neccesarily follow the book. She always posts the learning objectives of each chapter, and test off of those. If you study the learning objectives, you'll do fine.
