he's a nice guy. i can see why others would consider his comments during critique "mean", but if you're going to be an art major you can't expect everyone to like your work. my drawings really improved in his class though, i recommend.

He knows his stuff. He is frank about how much you suck- it will force you to look at your drawing and aspire to draw correctly. But i've seen kids walk out because he can be pretty rude.
