Kaelber is an extremely hard grader and wants a very specific answer. Most of his lectures about religion are off base and he does not have sources to back up his radical opinions. He had 3 tests in the class and 6 quizzes to make your entire grade and would not let me make up a test even though I was at a funeral. WOULD NEVER TAKE AGAIN!

Kaelber is what every professor should be - he makes you think, he pushes the hell out of you and makes you see the world differently. Do not take his class unless you are ready for a challenge...but trust me when I say that you have not experienced what Wagner has to offer until you take at least one of his courses!

Fantastic Prof. I highly recommend him. Don't be an idiot. If he wants you to read and you aren't clear on the topic, do the damn reading. I got an A with ease because I cared as much as he did and knew my stuff by the end. If you want to coast through an elective, dont take his classes. Youll just get in the way.

He is amazing. The smartest, most compasionate professor I have met. He cares about his profession, his students, and the material. He has amazing stories, has seen great things, and knows absolutely everything and then some. He is the reason I am minoring in religious studies. Great guy but requires u 2 b extremely specific on tests. Exams consisted of defining terms n answering essay qstns.Quizzes also given n lets u kno when.I thought it was one of the hardest n most challenging classes I've ever taken. I studied like crazy and still got a B. Dont take this class if ur looking 4 something easy cuz he's hard.

first of all, He IS an amazing teacher. Explains everything amazingly well and extremly helpful. BUT for an elective, it is a very hard class. I have to study for about 6 hours to get an A or B on tests. Worth it if you want to learn. not if you want an easy class.
