Very tough MBA course in 8 weeks. You have practice problems and quizzes due every week. Also, there are 2 group projects that are very time consuming. It's a lot of material in a short time span. Be ready for the full workload.

Basic Accounting Course. Even if you've never heard of debits or credits before, you should be able to pass this class with a B at the lowest. If you have to take an accounting course I would take it with Waqar. He's very knowledgeable about the material he teaches and the textbooks he uses makes the material very easy to understand remember.

Comment:
His tests are extremely hard - despite the fact that I did all the readings & practice problems. The way he words questions on the tests makes no sense, often times he had to go back and "fix" them after we had taken the test. Lectures are long and boring. If you have no experience in accounting do not take his class.

Ghani was a decent teacher with a rather complex subject. His masters-level accounting class is easier for those who have some type of accounting exposure, more difficult if you don't. What I really enjoyed about Dr. Ghani is that I felt that he truly cared about the students.

Relatively easy class if you've had managerial accounting before, but the class is extremely boring. End of semester project is time-consuming and not related to accounting at all.

I was not really a fan, but some people love him. Tests weren't hard if you studied enough. I didn't like how he watched over your shoulder when you did problems in class; can't work like that. It also seemed like he only ever had academic experience in accounting (not real world)based on the stories he told us about his past job experience.

Ghani was very helpful on questions. I would not suggest emailing him for help because the answers are not very detailed but if you catch him after class or on another day he is very helpful. You will have to study i suggest using the books online tests, they are free and representative of the test. Follow directions for the balanced scorecard

He was def a challenging teacher but he really does grade fairly at the end of the semester. I got B in midterm and C- on final and we killed the presentation with an A. I ended up with a B+. So yeah you figure it out. I recommend taking him if you are willing to do some self studying and a challenge. He does try to help out students with grading!

Ghani is a fantastic professor. You will learn a lot from him but you better be prepared to work. I noticed people who want to cruise through a class seem to not like him -- if you show effort, he will grade you favorably.

Ghani teaches a difficult subject that a lot of people are not interested in learning about. I was one of them, but he made it interesting wiht his sense of humor. Great guy. Ask questions and keep up with the reading before each class - do that and you'll be surprised the grade you will earn at the end of the class.

Hard class, but he makes it look easy. During class, he explain everything really well, but you gotta keep up the homework assignments and keep working, otherwise, the amount of material will overwhelm you at the end of the term. Great professor if you want to learn.

I had Ghani for both 3115 and 4115. He's great. The tests are not difficult if you know your stuff. He tries to teach concepts and application. Too often, students are only interested in knowing "what they have to know". His dry sense of humor keeps the subject of accounting much more interesting. Definitely take Ghani - he rocks.

This guy plays favorites, goes off topic all the time. His tests are hard and gives no guidance on the presentation. The worst prof because he's very pompous towards most of the students. He actually stopped a group presentation because he was bored. His tests are hard, but fair. His teaching methods are erratic and he contradicts all the time.
