Love this man! But DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS! He is extremely unorganized and is not clear on what he expects on his papers and speeches. He is an extremely hard grader and has pop quizzes galore. The most frustrating part is that he does not believe in telling you your grade in the class as he believes "knowing your grade, puts more pressure on you"

He was really insightful and funny. We only had a few assignments besides the reading and quizzes. I've heard his english classes are more intense though. He's a good guy

Edminster gives a lot of homework. Way more than he should/needs to. He is also very unclear about his assignments and it's annoying. How can he expect anything of what he's looking for if he doesn't specify what he wants? Good person. HORRIBLE professor.

This was my easiest class of my first semester. Just be ready to read the assigned readings, because there is no way to tell when he will give a quiz over it and when he will not. Practice the speeches you have to give many times, he is a tough grader. I only missed two classes for the whole semester, although you are allotted six.

Warren is very unclear at times. He doesn't give rubrics, so you have to use your best guess when writing papers and speeches. He doesn't use Canvas, which is very unfortunate, so you have no idea what your grade is. The class is mostly discussion based, as it is a honors class. He doesn't always reply to emails either.

I had Edminster for Honors Transitions and everything was super easy. We had a quiz every week over the reading assignment, which was only one or two chapters in a book, and they were pretty easy. Nothing was too hard, and he likes to hear everyone's opinion.

Dr. Edminster is great! He expects his honors classes to be honors students. You have reading every night and quizzes the next day so be sure to always read! He is a very fair grader but does assign a lot of rhetorical essays and papers for this class. Nothing difficult, just a lot of work. Over all, great course!

Warren is a great guy to talk to and super friendly. His class is entertaining and he is really funny, but his grading is so tough. He makes you do a lot of work, reading and speeches and papers all thrown in together. He doesn't give you a rubric for his assignments so you don't know exactly where he'll take off points, but don't worry... he will.

Not enjoyable. Frequent reading quizzes, grades on "feelings" (no rubric), no posts on canvas so you guess at your grade. He's alright outside of class, but the whole class is speeches and quizzes and I don't feel that I've improved at all throughout the course. Avoid if you can. He may be better for upper level courses if you're an English nerd!

Do not take any of Warren's classes if you are affiliated in any way with a Greek organization. He has a disgustingly heinous bias against Greeks for no reason. He is also unclear with instruction and ridiculously particular concerning assignments. Do not take any class taught by Warren if you are unwilling, as I was, to accept a B.

Dr. Edminster teaches with obvious passion and knowledge of his field. The class could have been incredibly boring, but his teaching made it fun. It was very discussion-based. I will say that there is a lot of reading required, and you will be quizzed over it. But do that, and you're golden.

I am shocked that people found Dr. Edminster uncaring. I have taken him multiple times and he is very willing to help. Difficult classes, but gives quizes daily on the reading so you don't get behind (and drops the lowest few quiz grades). I learned more from him than any other English professor at MSU. Wonderful. I can't recommend him enough.

Dr. Edminster does not care whether you understand his lessons or not. If you are not all about humanities 100% of the time, he will make sure you fail. He was very unwilling to help me and acted as if I were stupid because his directions were unclear. I DO NOT recommend him

If you are considering taking Dr. Ed, DON'T DO IT. He is a nice guy outside of class, but his lectures are pretty much useless and it's really hard to keep up if you aren't the linguistics scholar he expects you to be. Also, if you want any feedback, forget it. He won't give you your projects back until the last class before finals.

This guy is bad news! Stay away from Edminster, he is a very unfair teacher. He will expect you to spend every second of everyday on his class. If your not a language major, I would try and stay away from this teacher.

He's a good person altogether, but he will make you work for your grade, because he doesn't hand out A's. I believe his ENG 309 course has a reputation for being pretty difficult. Quizzes are everyday, and they're short but picky. He weeds out lazy students at the beginning of the semester with long packets. He'll come to your 21st though!
