Comment:

Good teacher and nice lady. Goes out of her way to give e.c. if the whole class has done poorly on an exam. Really wants students to get the best grades possible. 3 short presentations, labs and 4 exams and a comprehensive final. Tests aren't easy-gotta study! Solid choice esp. if you don't like science but have to take it.

Comment:

I have taken three of Wendy's classes and she has become one of my favorite professors at Delta. Some people have complained about her "dry" sense of humor but I enjoyed it as much as her lectures. If you put a lot of effort into the work (especially the lab reports for Environmental Science) you'll do fine. I highly recommend her travel courses.

Wendy was awesome. Take notes during lecture! The work is challenging at times, and if you don't show up to class you'll fall behind quickly. Tests aren't an easy pass without studying, although your lowest test score is dropped. Wendy is an expert in her field, her life's work has been dedicated to conservation. I have only good things to say!

She knows what she's talking about. 3 article research papers that are easy points. She has about 4 total tests and a cumulative exam at the end of the semester. All of the tests are pretty tough. Most of the labs are done at the beginning of the class and the end is mostly lectures. Somehow I passed with an A and I hate science so it's possible.

Wendy is an amazing instructor. I took her for BIO 111, now BIO 110, and then BIO 117 as well. She's so nice and fun and she knows her stuff. She is funny and her notes and lectures accurately reflect the tests. She's a great teacher and I highly recommend her. She is a fabulous teacher who really enjoys her work and knows her subject well.

Very easy to get points in her class. Lots of labs, notes, and homework notes but they are very easy. The tests were easy as long as you took notes did the labs and the homework notes. She was a great teacher to have for Biology. Her jokes are poor but she is great. Would take her again if needed.

I took this class because she rated helpful and the class was supposed to be simple. I was so disappointed, do not miss a day ever! She will not let you make up any work for any reason period! Her tests make no sense at all and the class is a bunch of useless labs that have nothing to do with anything. This class was terrible.

Wendy is an excellent teacher. I took her for BIO 110 and it was great so I took her again for this birds class. Again, Wendy was wonderful. She is super knowledgeable and this stuff is her life. She will definitely help anyone struggling as long as they try.

Prof. Baker is super-knowledgeable + witty. I took the class for personal interest reasons & sciences are not my strong suit, but I feel she went out of her way to engage me in bird biology. Class was a life-changing experience! I immediately signed up for another Baker course.

Professor Baker changed the way that I look at the world- no easy feat!! She is a vast ocean of good information. The class itself was certainly not above college level comprehension - she drops lowest scores and gives students almost too much time to complete their projects. Labs were fun and informative. She is an AWESOME teacher and person!

This was a partial online class (Summer Class). Come on people do your work. I have found that Professor Baker is an expert in her field. If you did not learn anything, you didn't do anything. She will call you to task and require you to do the work. I am sorry, I thought that is what education is. If you want a cake walk, take another class.
