He is a good prof, his lectures are really packed with information off of his slides, but they're online so you can go back and review. Moves fast during lectures, if you want to do good you have to practice lots from the textbook questions. Also, the online assignments every week are basically examples from the notes which is nice.

heavy on iclickers, majority doesn't get them right. Ex, roughly 25% pick ABC&D. Some are theory have yet to discuss so based off intuition. Basically have to teach yourself the class on your own time. Goes thru examples too quickly/shows beginning/end of solution, not the process. Txtbook needed, goes thru 1-4 ex per chapter, rest is on ur own

Taught directly from the textbook and worked out the example in the textbook during lectures. Topics on the final were not reflective of previous assignments or finals.

-interesting demonstrations -thr r WileyPlus hw Q's 2 do online; u have 10 days to complete them from the day they're assigned -iclicker Q's every class -he goes over Eg in class & shows the PROCESS of solving the problems (using variables - you can plug in the #'s l8r to check); helpful for understanding concepts & how 2 work thru the problems

Very funny prof & does some really cool demonstrations. Explains things thoroughly and clearly for the most part however sometimes over complicates them. Lots of iClicker questions.

Moves through concepts really fast, and always skips steps in his examples. He does show us shortcuts for doing problems, and explains the material with detail (sometimes too much). Gives 2+ iClicker questions every class, so don't skip.

Comment:
Dr. Ens gives a fair amount of demonstrations and examples in lecture. You will use the i-clicker every class, but the questions are easy and he gives hints. He tends to skip steps when solving equations, which is sometimes confusing, but he explains the concepts you need to understand very clearly. The material is very similar to Physics 40S.

Dr. Ens made me joyful about the subject I hate the most, physics. His demonstrations in class are clear, and hilariously constructed. Whenever the textbook is being vague, his lectures would clear it up. The lectures are posted online, but it's better to listen to him explaining them. All pop quizzes are forewarned in posted lectures online

His lectures are so much better than other profs. He explains the material very well and all the material are very basic, very similar to grade 12 physics. His slides simplifies everything and is easy to understand. recommend!

I'me glad I took grade 1112 physics in high school because a lot of the content is the same therefor easy but Werner makes it way more confusing than it needs to be

Boring class and boring material. Just learned everything from the textbook. I was less than 0.5 percent away from an A+ and he wouldn't help me out (neither would Kunkel) even though he had helped out other students with similar problems.

Ens' lectures were brutal... other than showing cool demonstrations, his lectures will only serve to confuse you!!!! He complicates things, flies through examples too quickly, and assumes his students have far too much prior knowledge! I survived from the textbook alone..

not helpful at all. asked to make an appointment with him but did not reply during finals weeks. does not care about his students education. just teaches for the sake of teaching. bad bad bad bad bad prof. questions and examples done in lecture do not correspond with questions found on final examinations. avoid avoid avoid.

He covers the course material at a good pace, not too fast or too slow. However, this is not the easiest class. You still have to study and practice the questions in the textbook that he posts online. The only "down side" about his class is that he faintly covers some of the information you need to know for the iclicker questions.

Taking General Physics with Dr. Ens is kind of like being that kid who had celery sticks in his lunch instead of dunkaroos. You don't really realise you have it bad off until one day you try dunkaroos, and realise you've been missing out.Dr. Ens is the celery sticks, Dr. Ruth Cameron is the dunkaroos. Dr. Ens is too convoluted and boring. Avoid him

He add equations from a higher classes and them expects you to know them. Calculus is not recommended but you'd feel that you need to take it in his.class :/
