This class is not one to take too lightly. That being said it is really easy to get an A in his course. Almost all test questions come from his slides, so make sure to take very detailed class notes and attend Q and A sessions. Dr. Leverich is always willing to help and is really laid-back.

very laid back prof. goes on irrelevant tangents quite a bit in class. his tests are challenging; know the notes very well and also the book decently well. I didn't do so well for various reasons but one is he is not organized too well, so make sure to keep everything organized. he is always willing to help even outside office hrs. higly recommend.

Nice guy. Test questions come pretty much directly from his slides. As long as you memorize the information on his slides, no matter how seemingly insignificant, you should do fine on his tests.

Good teacher, very entertaining. As far as Bio classes go, his are the very easiest, and they're fun to attend. He prints out the notes and gives them to you. Relaxed about everything, including grades. I'd highly recommend him if you need an upper level Bio.

If you have the opportunity to take Dr.Leverich you DEFINITELY should. I actually learned things and he brought food for us almost every day :) He is a great guy, and is really passionate about what he does. The tests tend to be a bit tricky to study for because they have nothing to do with the lectures. Attend class and study=easy A.

Easiest upper level Bio class I've taken. Grades are not very important to him, but in a good way. In fact, I know of classmates whose grades were "rounded" from a B- to an A. He knows his stuff, but he's not incredibly organized and is super laid-back. I'd highly recommend taking him and I plan to take another of his courses in the future.

if you need a bio class take this one. easy, funny, cool teacher. handouts/powerpoints are vague so i would advise going to class for notes. other than that very easy for a bio course. toward the liberal side. assignments are easy, 4 tests, no cumulative final

Get the lecture handouts (class attendance is hardly necessary). Study them a day or two before the exam. Complete the homework assignments. This class is almost a guaranteed A. Tells stories and stuff during class. Sincere interest in teaching the class.

Dr. Leverich is a great guy. He gets into teaching and knows his stuff. This class isn't a blow off class but it isn't like Calculus with Hongming Ding or Organic Lab with Nguyen-Haha. Take as many classes as you can with Leverich- he's great! You do, however, still have to work.
