He is definitely hard on late-comers. Don't allow that to be an issue. He does lighten up a bit in the upper-level courses, because he knows the students in those classes take their work more seriously. His idea of teaching is to read the text book to you in class. You have to do a lot of reading on your own to succeed.

If you're not in class by five 'til then he says you're late and locks you out. He's not helpful and he confuses you. There also seems to be a language barrier. Don't take your math credit at Covenant if you don't have to. These people make your life miserable on purpose and aren't apologetic about it. MATH SUCKS!!!!!

Awesome professor! Do the work, DON'T be late and you'll do great!! I was a little intimidated when I first started taking him, but he's really terrific! Yes, he's an old Dutch guy but that's part of what makes him so fun! A+++
