Comment:

This class was absurd. He is very disorganized, and does not have a clear plan for lectures, but rather seems to go off on tangents, expecting the student to find the significance of stories. Some of his facts are inaccurate, and he pompously assigned his own book for the class. He is a ridiculous grader. One of the worst teachers I have ever had.

I think that he is a great professor. He is a hard grader because he wants you to know how everything in history is connected to something else. If you remember that you will do fine in his class. Because our class had several snow days he gave us an opportunity for extra credit by going to the Ethan Allen Homestead and taking a tour.

Literally the most arrogant professor I have ever had. He wrote the textbook yet I can still correct him on major points in history and back it up with historical proof. He rants for three hours and denies those people living on campus a chance to eat dinner. He doesn't allow enough time for tests.He should've stayed retired.

Great, great professor. He rambles but that's history. There really isn't a text book since he wrote the books you need. He is an amazing story teller that keeps you intrested, he has amazing side knowledge to historical figures that makes the class great.

Likes to talk a lot and often repeats things. Mostly reading assigned and you can often get by without doing it since he does most of the talking. Take notes and show up with caffeine. Overall, easy class work wise.

Good guy, very smart but a terrible teacher. Stands in front of class and rants. Sometimes the brightest aren't the best teachers and Randall is a prime example of that. Good stories though.

Randall is a bit of a smart ass. If you ask a stupid question prepare to be made a fool of yourself. He is great besides that. He thinks of COR like the other students...HORRIBLE. Though he is funny and has great accents. You will also know all 10 of his stories by the end of class. Doesn't really require reading cause he knows COR sucks

Extremely intelligent and great at teaching. Unfortunately he is as much of a jerk as he is knowledgeable. Pay attention in class and you won't need to read that much for the quizzes. If you can get past/ignore how full of himself he is you will enjoy the class.

I learned more in this class than any other history class I have taken. Sure, there is a lot of work and reading but you're in college so it is to be expected. Don't go in to the class thinking that you can just walk through it or you will be in for an unpleasent surprise.

Not an easy class. Lot's of ready, note taking etc. Does not give you much direction with papers, or tests. But I learned a lot, and he made History interesting. I would usually be sleeping through three hour History lectures, but the way he tells it is fun. I would definately take his class again even if it is hard, he is reasonable!

This guy is about as conceded as they come. Sure he knows his facts but if you question what he has to say you better be ready to be told that your wrong.I dont think it matters how well you do in the class because im convinced he doesnt read any of our stuff. I was convinced this when i got an A in the class and didnt get one grade B all semester

Yeah hes smart and he knows it, really full of himself. God help you if you make any criticizing remarks about his writing or question a grade on a test. Ask a question he makes you feel like an idiot. books are expensive for his classes and he wrote them 3 out of the 5 of them, will not buy back at the bookstore. Also assignes a 20 pg term paper..

Great professor! He made class so interesting and understandable. Never enjoyed history so much! He shares stories that you would NEVER find in a text book. He teaches from his head which is awesome and his talks are just like his class. What a smart guy!
