I took this professor for both 211 and 212. He loves this subject and makes it very interesting. I don't really care for humanities but he was probably one my favorite professors at USI. His tests and quizes are all essay but you only have to answer the questions you know and get points per fact that you know and easy extra credit is available.

In order to do well you must read everything at least twice. All exams are essay but he does offer plenty of extra credit. He is not as hard as people below have made him out to be if you actually read and try. I have gotten and A on every exam/quiz. The more you write the better you'll be. He grades very easily. Would recomend him.

This professor thinks his class is your class. He gives so much useless information. Tests/Quizzes are essay, and he puts the most random topics on there..very minute people, etc. No study guide nor will he tells you anything that will be on the tests/quiz whatsoever. He is not very helpful. I mean, c'mon..this is a core class. TAKE SOMEONE ELSE!

This is deffinately a note taking and attendance class. The quizzes were hard at first b/c I've never taken a class in that format before. The best thing you can do is keep writing for quizzes and tests and hope he counts what you wrote as points. After I got the hang of his class it wasn't a bad class at all. I highly reccomend it!

Considering the subject matter, he makes the class mildly interesting. One of the better Humanities teachers. Make sure to take good notes and read over them before an exam or quiz and you will be fine.

This class takes a lot of time. Extensive reading in order to get a good grade on tests and quizes. You have a quiz every week and 2 test, which are essay style. If you like to read and take good notes you will get a good grade, but this class would be impossible if you didn't. textbooks were used heavily and he offers 40 extra credit points.

I really like him! He really knows everything about everything!! He likes to talk for a long time, but his class is pretty interesting. I can't wait to take him again. I would def. recommend him to anyone!

DO not take him. He is a very bad grader. Even if you know the stuff you still won't do well, bc he won't give you credit for somthing he gave to someone else. All Quizes and Tests are Essay. Does give extra Credit, but thats how most pass his class. DO NOT TAKE HIM. He also makes the class as a hole feel Stupid and uneducated.

Offers a lot of extra credit (60 points this semester!). Has numerous quizzes throughout the semester, a midterm & a final. Grades quizzes & tests easy, but grades papers harshly. The class is fairly boring, but he tries to make it interesting by telling stories of his travels. Recommend the professor & class to everyone.

He was an awesome teacher because he traveled to some of the places that he taught about and that helped to make the subjects more interesting. He gave opportunities for extra credit and if you take lots of notes with detail this class will not be a problem.
