He does not bring candies to class, there is no magic, there is no eloquent speak or anything extraordinary about his lectures. All he does is deliver material in proper and clear manner so everyone can understand it. Thanks prof we love you! P.S For any shi*ty prof at UW, I would suggest go and learn how to teach from this guy!

One of the better profs out there. Plenty of jokes to make a dry subject somewhat interesting.

The best prof I have had to date. He made material very simple to understand and is simply just good at teaching, something a lot of other profs cannot do.

Great lecture slides. Very clear voice and somewhat enthusiastic. Switching between slides and course notes is helpful in learning. Should do more demo since this is a chemistry class. Should speed up the lecture a little bit and do a bit more examples. First 23 of the course is review for high school Chem. Multiple choice for all exams.

Amazing lecturer and really wants all his students to succeed. Goes at a faster pace than Bissonnette so we actually finished the entire course. Has his own slides that goes with the course notes really well, however uses the course notes for examples which are really similar to exam questions. Don't but the textbook, use a pdf for sample questions

He wants everyone to succeed! Always available in his office and will answer the stupidest of questions. He makes great notes and is a great presenter. Makes fair & straightforward midterms and finals. If you show up to class you will destroy this course. If you get the option to switch into his section take it (he is a lot better than Bisonnette)!

He enjoys teaching this course, but it is a content-heavy course with a lot of calculations. The tutorial is helpful for assignments, since he gives hints. However, the course would benefit from him doing more sample problems in class. Tests reflect similarly to assignments.

He is the most awesome prof ever!He is really enthusiastic and keeps you awake at 8:30. Very helpful outside class and he actually cares about how you do in class.2nd midterm was a little hard but that's just because there wasn't enough time to work on the problems otherwise his tests were fair. Put in the effort and go for extra help!he is awesome

Great lessons, very clear and organized, however the final and second midterm were killer! Had a great marking scheme for the course, so each midterm wasn't worth a lot and assignments/quizzes helped my mark.

Always made me want to get up for 8:30 class and actually kept me interested in class. If you print out his slides he's really easy to follow and he always does examples that are really similar to exam problems. I felt really prepared and ready for both midterms and the final.

He is an awesome prof. He speaks the truth and teaches not only chemistry but teaches how to think critically and scientifically unintentionally. He is very helpful, and really good at explaining things. The only thing that would have made him better would be if he were to do more example based teaching. When teaching theory, he is amazing.

He saved my mark in chem 120! I technically didn't have him as a prof but i couldn't stand Prof. Gilbert any longer! I chose to wake up early to attend his lectures instead of sleeping in to attend my actual lectures; that should say something
