Dr. Riddell was quite possibly the most colorful professor I had at Brockport. He scared me away from Psychology a little bit..but he was a great professor who always kept his students on their toes.

Weirdest guy ever. Definately make sure you read the text, you don't really have to listen to anything he says in lecture because its not on the tests. Listen to you TA they're there for a reason!

He is retiring after this semester (spring 05). Can do well in his class if you read the chapter and know the vocab. Take the class with lab so you can get the name lists from TA's. As long as you have a good TA you can pass. His class was doable but it could've been easier if he taught more clearly

I think Riddell is an incredibly brilliant man. He is the reason I decided to major in Psychology. Yes, his teaching style is well, different. The course is do able, you just have to be able to make sense of his examples. Go to his class, you will learn alot and be interested.

It's amusing that those who liked him felt the need to be rude, demeaning, and abrasive like him. I did very well in his class. His lectures were a waste. He goes off on tangents that are mostly his own opinion rather than accepted psychology. Read the book you'll do fine, but learn little depth.

This man is different, but in a great way. His lectures are far from boring, he adds a great sense of humor and makes very interesting and logical points. If you read the text (a chapter a week) you will do fine. Just know your stuff. He isn't one to spoonfeed his students. He's the man!

I suggest taking this with lab. The TA's will help a lot. If you study the names list, read the book and know the vocab (about 2 hours a week) you'll do fine. He is a really funny guy, but it's up to you to do the work. You fail, its your problem
