dry and boring lectures, hard marker! test were only 1-3 mark answers. Very rude when you ask questions. He says to use the textbook even when we have no access to one, other than to one poorly done online. I normally like going to class but I hated his. lectures are all definitions with few examples that didn't make sense.

Comment:

You need to memorize everything that he proved in class. His tests are straight from the notes, with some new stuff. There are no hard questions, only a lot of them. If you're spending time trying to figure out how to solve a problem from scratch, you WILL run out of time. His lectures are amazing; can't ask for better. Most undervalued Prof ever.

The nature of the course is very dry, tedious, and difficult. He didn't do anything to ease any of that but I don't particularly blame him. Testsassignments were hard but he was very nice about flexible grading when it came to the final since the majority of the class was struggling. (I. e opportunity to have the final worth more if beneficial)

By the end, I was the only Undergrad student left in the course. I managed to pass one of the 5 assignments by a few points, I did not even mange to answer one question on the midterm, I think the reason why he passed me is because I attended every lecture, payed attention, put in a serious effort on the assignments, and did not quit. I liked it

I had a Topology course before, at Western Ontario University. Almost identical material with this course, and I got full mark there, yes 100! But the taste of Topology with Jaworski is VERY bitter. Absolutely you will learn, but more absolutely, you will FAIL. Assignments and tests will take you to this fate. Do not venture!!

Tests during the term were brutally hard but this made for a pretty easy final. Some comments here say he is unapproachable with issues, but this not my experience. Took the same class as the person who commented below, but I disagree -- there are worse math profs at Carleton. This guy is hard, but fair. You'll do fine in the end.

Jaworski saves you hours of research as His notes are very-well researched and extremely clear and structured.Assignments are very hard. Exams are not easy but fair. This is the tird course I take with jaworski. He is challanging and hard but you learn very well if you are serious and pay attention.I would not miss a course he teaches.outstanding

His assignments are extremely hard! Almost impossible. And his exams, horrible, you don't need to understand the material, it's enough to memorize the whole book. This is so not math. If I could memorize I would have studied history or something. But definitely not math. My grades in Math are always above 80. Yet I didn't pass his course. AVOID!!

Well-researched, well-written, and comprehensive notes. You need to devote more time when studying with Jaworski as the assignments are hard, the notes are condensed, and you need to practice more problems so you can consolidate what you studied in the notes. Worth taking courses with him since you learn a lot and you learn well.

For those who can put in some effort and likes to be challenged, he would be a great prof. The math department hired him because of his intellectual and professing capabilities and it clearly shows. He'll make you earn your A+. IMHO, his tests/assignments are above standard difficulty, but if you can do them, you'll ace the standardized exam!

Shows no concern for students. Tutorials are typed up on a type writer, and contain questions that are way too hard. He is unaware of the resources for struggling students, and offers no advice. He didn't even know the math help centre existed in Herzberg; even a TA there said "Why is this question in a first year course? this is ridiculous".

Very tough. Gives brutal assignments, not very approachable. About 90% of his questions on tests he has already taught, so memorize the examples and proofs in your notes - all of them! Only recommended if you are super smart and really motivated, and you will know the course inside out by the end. If you are like this he is the best prof for you!
