He does check attendance. He is a good man with a good sense of humor, but very hard to understand with this tendency to skip multiple steps. If you choose to take his class, i recommend taking extra time out to get some one on one help from him. Great on homework; just 5 hw sets throughout the whole semester, and gives out EC.

He obviously knows what he's talking about. Info is different in English. Has no accent but it's just a little different. I'm an A+ Coll Alg student and found explanations even difficult for myself. Math is like drinking water to me, but this class was more like molasses. Just get on his good side and get a DIFFERENT BOOK!!!!!!!!

Avoid this professor at all costs, took him three times to get the syllabus assignments coordinated correctly with the book. nice guy, but very unorganized. several times promised a study guide and admitted he forgot. look elsewhere for a better professor.

He is an awful teacher. I dont recommend taking his class. You can't understand what he is saying and doesnt explain topics well at all. His tests are hard and he is an awful grader. Stay away, you wont get an A or learn anything.

This is the worst professor I have ever had. He doesn't explain anything well at all. I have gotten A's and B's in math courses before but I got a C in here because he is awful. He explains everything very poorly and skips far too many steps while teaching. DO NOT TAKE HIM! I am smart and I felt lucky that I passed with a C... He's terrible

Professor Ziai is not a very good teacher. He always stands in front of anything he writes on the board, he talks really fast and slurs his words. However, he is not thorough in checking HW, so if it LOOKS like you did it all, he'll give you full credit (I did this every time). Turn in all HW & get C+/B's on tests and you'll get an A in the class.

Im not sure if i would take his class again. Although he seemed funny and friendly at times, he would get lost and side tracked in the material. one time he almost made us take a test on an ENTIRE CHAPTER he had skipped but didnt notice, and he was mad at us for not knowing how to do the work but its because he didnt teach it. idiot!

easy class if u have some math knowledge !! a lot of extra credits which will help u a lot. he hates people who come in late !!!! just do the homework and attend the class. he misses some topics while teaching which was odd for me !Again,very easy class if u know some math cuz he isn't that good in explaining stuff .

Very hard to understand because of his accent. And his handwriting on the board turns to chicken scratch about 5 minutes into the class. And he'll write something on the board, but while he's explaining what he's writing, he'll stand in front of what he wrote so you can't see it.

Sarcastic guy, good personality. As a teacher, he's not the best. Squeezes ever second of the time he's given to teach. Plan on getting a tutor and studying more than usual, it's the only way you'll understand the material cuz, well, not to be blunt, but he just can't teach. Seemed like I was just going to class to find out how much I don't know!

His writing is hard to understand and irritating, especially when he's going so fast to tell you to do a problem. He hates noise, and doesn't like many questions. I like that the homeworks are due only once a month at the same time as the quizzes. If you have the book with the cd, the video teacher there is where i learned the most. sorry...

if u have never taken trig i suggest you dont take this teacher. hes not very clear on what he teaches and the test sometimes is not on what he teaches. he tries to help but sometimes he makes it more confusing.
