Alex wasn't just an instructor; he was a longtime friend and mentor. He was always there to answer questions, knowledgeable in his field, and very smart. He died last year. He was one of the *BEST* at Mission College and he will be missed. He leaves shoes that are quite large to fill and the college is short on amazing instructors. RIP, Alex.

Attendance is not mandatory so you can just come to the orientation and on the test date. There's a lot of reading, but the tests are fairly easy. Nothing tricky. He's nice and will explain to you anything that you don't understand. His classes fill up quick so make sure you register early.

I took the Summer Session Online Class and it was very self paced and easy to go through. Just keep up with the reading and the homework does not take a lot of time. The exams are open book and not timed. Also he gives good feedback on homework. I will take more classes he teaches.

just a hint.... HE GIVES THE SAME QUIZZES EVERY SEMESTER =] have to read the book to know the chapters. barely went to class but i got a B. just study.. his quizzes aren't easy. but he drops the lowest score out of the 6 quizzes at the end. take him for this class he's pretty cool

He is a very good teacher, but his exams are not that easy. You need to memorize all the chapters because he asks too many details. Not an easy A. In his lectures, he talks about daily news for half an hour, then the lecture.

This online class isn't easy because the textbook and subject is very dense. However, the homework takes 30 minutes or less and the online quiz is open book. There are no term papers or anything like that. I spent around 1.5 hours a week on this class but I had to work hard to get a good grade. Everything is online except orientation.

He is a good teacher. There are 6 tests in class, and the worst one will be eliminated at the end of the semester. Besides, there is a research paper in this class. Therefore, this class is suitable for someone who has some interest in Political problems. Luckily, I have interest in that area. That is why I find this class is useful.

Very easy. He clearly loves the topic.. and made an otherwise very boring class at least somewhat interesting. He's nice, and the fact that he WANTS you to learn is cool. You can only fail if you try, seriously. Sometimes he goes off topic too, but that makes it interesting, I'd say. He's solid.. not left or right (usually). Highly recommended.
