Great teacher, very practical. He also has a suite in the new football stadium that he opens up to his students. He would occasionally bring his dog "barks" into class and he would occupy a seat. It is also rumored that he owns a vineyard just north of town. His mansion can been seen from 81.

Typical lawyer, thinks he's the best the world's ever seen but his stories are funny, class lets out early everytime, and tests are A-attainable. You won't regret taking his class.

Graves is awesome! He was pretty amusing and always had a good story to tell. The class lasted less than an hour usually. We had one paper and 3 tests. For the tests, he tells you what to study. Take him, its not hard to get an A

Class never lasts longer than an hour. He spoonfeeds what you need to study for the tests. He tells a lot of funny stories about what has happened to him as a lawyer. An easy A. Definitely take this class!

This guy is one of the best teachers I've had since I got to JMU. His class is pretty darn easy, and he tells some pretty funny stories. He's a lawer, so he tells the class all the ways to deal with cops at a practical level for college students (came in handy once). Never keeps class whole time, def take this class!

I have mixed feelings about Graves. On one hand, he is very experienced and has many good, and funny, stories to tell. On the other, he is not a very good teacher and cannot always get the point across. Read the book to learn, go to class for a few laughs. He's also very reasonable.

AWESOME teacher. You will never stay more than 1 1/2 into class. Tests are easy as long as you scan your notes an hour before the exam. Tells you whats on the exam specifically. You also learn a lot, and he is a funny guy with some great stories to tell. Definately recommended.

graveys a funny guy. you wont stay the whole time, EVER, and its straight for a night class. hes not so clear in lectures, but if you read the book and look over the study guide book youll do fine. hes good for a laugh, especially if you have him as a lawyer. fine for an intro class.

ok guys be honest, you love the fact that you never have to go to his class in order to get an A, but this guy is awesome! his class is so funny to attend, cuz he always gets off topic and it's hillarious-easy A and you ALWAYS get out early!

I think he is a really nice professor and the class isn't hard. It can be hard to sit through but he usually lets us out a little early. The tests are really easy and there's no work other than 1 paper. His guest speakers are always really interesting.

This was quite possibly the MOST boring teacher i have ever had. He doesnt know how to talk to the class, which is scary because he is a prosecutor. He basically reads from the book for 2 and a half hours. It was horrible. HORRIBLE

Pretty easy class but it is long and boring. If you want a night class that is worth going to and will not waste your time, i recommend another teacher. I fall asleep everytime. Attendance is mandatory. Tests come straight from the readings.
