Dr. Johari, found me an intern job on campus. While serving as an intern for the company, I had the opportunity to co-author an annual test for the company. If it wasn't for Dr. Johari, I wouldn't have been able to show some of the skills that I have as a Multimedia Design major.

If you want to take any of his classes be prepaired to not learn any ISD or Coding. He has you take a website online and write paragraphs. All his classes are useless. Just sit there and listen to him say how amazing he is and take the 'A' he gives everyone.

The only good thing about this class was that we only saw Dr. Johari about four times this semester. He emailed us 45 minutes before class telling us that there is class even thought a week before he said not more class for the rest of the semester. Watch out he will change what he wants due right before he comes in for class. Never take his class.

Comment:

This is the worst professor on campus. He changes his mind every class on what he wants. We have to teach ourselves so this class is a waste of money. He will say something in class, and then the next class he says something completely different. Same with what he tells students, its not consistent. Don't waste your time and money!

Johari spends most of his time talking about things that are not directly related to the class. He is rude to students and has been known to openly mock them in class. I witnessed this many times in the 3 classes i had with him.

I had Dr. Johari for ID & Multimedia Design. Like another stated, "This is college not high school". Many "kids" expect everything to be handed to them. Go to class, pay attention, and do your work. If you complete these 3 little steps you will do fine in any class. Dr. Johari was one of he best instructors I have had thus far. Thank you sir.

Difficult to understand at first but with time you catch on. He works to find opportunities outside of the classroom for his students. He judges his success on the grades/success of his students. Really sweet guy. You do have to show up and do your work but it's worth it! He teaches invaluable skills and ethics. One of my favorite professors!

Dr. Johari is a great guy! He can be difficult to understand at times because of his accent but he repeats himself to make the message clear. His stories are motivational. He cares immensely about his students. If you're interested he will work with you to get you an A. He's very supportive and will work with you outside of class.

Dr. Johari is a great professor. He's not the typical professor at Cameron. He expects a lot from his students. If you put the effort and energy into the class, he will give you the tools to excel and be successful. If you are just looking for an easy class or just follow the book, then you won't get much out of his classes.

Professor Johari claims to be an Instructional Design expert. However, the class rarely had any structure. The expectation for assignments was never clear. His feedback lacked any clarity. I do not recommend Prof. Johari to anyone interested in Instructional Design.

This professor is phenomenal and motivating. Applying rapid prototyping, we started a project at the beginnng of class and built it to a final project. Also, making use rapid protyping is effective in a university environment because there is already enough workload. We should make use of this more often, just as Dr. Abbas Johari has succeeded.

While attending this class instructed by Dr. Johari I never thought that I would have gained as much knowledge and confidence in web design. Not only did I learn more than enough about web design, I learned to think objectively about everything I do in life. In my opinion Dr. Johari is one of the best teachers at this university.

I have had some good instructors, and I have had some bad instructors. Dr. Johari, however, is by far the worst instructor I have ever had. I have had to take a few classes with him, please note HAD TO. Unfortunately, I was unable to learn a thing in his class other then some useless information about his personal life.

I liked Dr. Johari's class and method of teaching. He showed by example what he wanted the class to do and he was thorough in his instruction. He also inspired students to do the best that they could and I appreciated his concern. He didn't have to do that. I think he's a thoughtful and caring instructor.
