I always followed different media outlets, but I now have further insight on how to analyze communication between media and diplomacy that I did not have before. Great class. Major paper, final, & hw. This class is an ongoing learning process, and a worthwhile one to take. Professor appreciates stimulating debate, and takes attendance.

It gave me a headache to listen to him. He talks the entire time. He never listens to anyone else, and tells stories about how he's presented theories and people "just didn't get it." Hmm. He's just a theorist, he's never been in journalism, but he sure can criticize it. Btw he hates American culture and never stops ranting about it.

if you actually care about your education do not take this class. I can not imagine a bigger waste of time. I did not learn anything. He does not teach at all-- all classes are just reviewing current news and talking about nothing. he is not interested in his students or the class. got an A and hated every minute of it. take something worthwhile.

I liked the class but it could have been so, so much better. He clearly just teaches this for the extra money (he's tenured at Howard). It was a block and ended after an hour each week. Hates grading so only like 5 of us took the final exam (rest took the grade from their final paper), which he was rushing us through so he could leave early.

If you like Bush bashing and hearing about Malek's wife's shopping habits, then show up and listen-- you'll more than likely get an A for your suffering, at least. Thank God this class was easy, because I'm pretty sure my parents' cash would have been better spent by me NOT showing up.

this class is a breeze. do the 3 outlines and the paper (which is easy!) and you'll do well. you rarely do anything but discuss in the class and the final is pretty easy if you join in class discussion b/c it is mostly opinion questions.
