I really enjoyed the course. Professor Hassen is fantastic, and I really will be looking for him as I take further math courses. Lots of fun in the class, never laughed more in a math class, but still learned the material. I would highly recommend him.

Does he have an accent? Yes. Once you take two seconds and listen to what he says can you understand him? Yes. I could understand everything he said, and he seems like a really smart guy but he didn't explain things very well. It's a toss up because he was enjoyable. He was also a lenient grader as long as you took effort to explain things.

This professor is just okay. His tests are not to difficult as long as you complete and study the homework and review questions. Study the hw and review sheets, and you should be fine. His Mathematica projects are pretty difficult, But on the bright side, hes funny and approachable, and is one of the better professors for Calculus II.

Dr. Hassen is a fantastic professor. He might be hard to understand a bit, but he knows his stuff. If you do the homework, you will be great. If you don't you will not. I had to put a course aboove but the course did taought was not up there.

Intro to PDE's was an interesting class and we covered a lot of material. He moves through the subject very quickly and in order to do well on the tests, you need to keep up with the homework (even though its all due the day of the test). He's a pretty funny and lenient guy, but it can be easy to slack off and tank your grade.

Yes, his accent took a little getting used to, but its not nearly as bad as other professors. He has a good sense of humor and knows his stuff. Had him for Linear Alg and I thought he covered the material well.

He is a great professor, always willing to answer questions and wants to see his students succeed. Often the homework questions and review questions are also the test questions. He will want you to read the text to help with your understanding of the material (as some students really struggle).

First foreign professor I had and I understood him fine. He explains everything really well in class, but Calculus is never a cake walk. Exams are all homework questions. A pretty lenient grader too actually.

I took Hassen for calc 2 and 3. He's really helpful if you seek the help from him. The homework questions he assigns are on the test. Do them and you'll be fine. Also it pays to be vocal in his class as he will sometimes change test dates based on the classes input.

You couldn't understand anything he said. I spent so much time trying to understand him, that I wasn't able to understand the class. I was better off skipping class and reading the book on my own. Also, he's the type of teacher that if he doesn't like you, you're screwed and he will fail you. I don't recommend him at all.

Hassen is kind of hard to understand at first, buy you warm up to him and begin to understand him. He treats most of it like a review, because it should be; you should have taken calc in high school to be in this class. You can get alot worse, so I would pick him.

Took him for calc II. Good teacher. I would definitely recommend him. Pleasantly surprised with him after reading these reviews and expecting him to be bad. If you put forth a solid effort you should do fine. Calc II is hard no matter who you take.

Do not take him for ODE. He's the only ODE teacher that requires you do mathematica projects, and they are MUCH more difficult than the Mathematica projects you did in Calc 1-3 (especially since you don't have a manual this time).

Worst professor I've ever had. He's very difficult to understand and class is unstructured. He often does examples for 10-15 minutes, and then when he's done he'll tell us he messed up but we don't need to know the problem anyway. When coming to him for help, he's just as useless. If you take him, you will be learning from the textbook.

Professor Hassen can be hard to understand for the first couple of days but after that you get used to it, he's very helpful and wants you to pass. We didn't finish all the material, but we did like 1 chapter a week for 5 weeks with exams on Thursdays. Mathematica was an easy exam grade along with homework. I would recommend him to everyone.

hard to understand sometimes some examples winner = winer and mounth = manzas?!?! his english needs a lil work but not too bad. His test are hard and the whole class fails but he lets you correct them. if you email him he will help you out with your grade. if you are looking for an easy A this is NOT it.
