If Ben Stiller was Hegel he'd be Professor Socher. Laid-back, funny, and seems to know everything. Here's how a lecture goes, he starts off on some riff and then he's just talking to you. And if you're talking notes all of a sudden you look down at 1145 and it's a perfect lecture. Really easy to talk to outside of class too.

Awesome professor. Have taken three classes (100, 200, 300 levels) and all were fantastic. He is clear, helpful, friendly, and inspiring. He is one of the two or three teachers that have cemented my plans for continuing education. Really brings the material to life (which is truly impressive when reading dry historical analyses). A+

Amazing class and great professor. Socher always finds away to make the class interesting. I have heard from a lot of students that he is a tough grader. Most students who think this were most likely slackers, who did not engage themselves in the class. Participation is key. Meeting with Socher is key. He likes to reward students who deserve it.
