Dr. Hoit cares about students' success and appeals to those who struggle with math. She is process-orientated and uses a step-by-step approach. However, the class is limiting in content for those who expect a challenging calc 2. The downside to her approach is that critical thinking isn't emphasized, which is essential in understanding math.

I'm a math major, but that doesn't mean it's easy for me. She is super nice, a little too into math for me, but will ALWAYS help you! She spends a ton of time going over hw questions that you have which helps a ton! Math isn't easy, but she is a great teacher to have! Math isn't always easy, but if u do ur hw and pay attention, you'll be great.
