I took this course as my English requirement - I'm glad I had Muller as a prof. Very engaging lectures so going to class was never boring - definitely recommend going to class because he will go over the poems/novels with you in GREAT detail which helps with the essays. quizzes, and final exam. He wants his students to do well and get good grades.

Best prof at U of M that I've had so far. He likes when people participate in class discussions. If you show up to class you will do better in the long run. He is very passionate about teaching. His lectures are very interesting. Highly recommend.

Adam is a great prof, definitely my favourite so far! I found him extremely helpful inside and outside of class, and also very kind and caring. He is very smart and really makes you work for him to take your opinion as a valid one, this can sometimes come off as condescending. Marks kind of hard, but leaves great feedback on your papers.

Dr. Muller sticks to his syllabus throughout the year. Even though it may seem like he gives an overwhelming amount of feedback on essays it is all useful and will help you improve your writing. Skipping class is alright, but the class discussions will definitely expand your understanding of the readings.

He started off my literary analysis class by saying "I don't analyse literature, this is not my thing." Which is the easiest way to lose a classroom's respect and attention. Also if you can't figure out how to analyse Frankenstein you shouldn't be an English professor at a University.

Dr. Muller is a great Professor. Provided you are in University to learn, you don't want to miss the opportunity to take one of his classes. If he teaches Critical Theory 2640 again, don't miss out. Best prof to give you the essentials in a proper understanding. Great lectures. Expects well done papers, marks difficult but very fair. Helps a lot.

Excellent Prof. Intimidating when just entering university, but actually just very straightforward and demanding the best out of you. His classes teach you how to properly set up and elaborate an argument, taking all research into consideration. Tough but fair!

Professor Muller is one of the if not the best prof I've ever had. He marks tough but that is because he expects you to read the material and take away something from his class. He's teaching for a reason. He is extremely intelligent and passionate about what he is teaching and he will take on board other opinions! Great prof! thanks

Dr. Muller was hands down the smartest professor I've met. He took drafts for all essays even if you sent them a day or two before they were due. I never had trouble getting A and A+ papers because I bothered to read the material. If you have WRITING FUNDAMENTALS, and you ought to, and can think for yourself you'll do fine in his class.

Dr. Adam Muller is definitely a hard marker but only because he expects people taking his class are at the University level. The work load is heavy but it's also all very interesting. His notes are a tad cryptic but he is also very approachable. Very smart and helpful and will look at papers over email before they are due to help out! Thanks Adam!

Happy to help, look over papers before due. Discuss topics. Very very interactive, appreciative, and intelligent prof. U of M's best in my mind.

I cannot say enough good things about Muller and this class. He provides an educational experience that is hard to come by. I've learned more from his classes than I have in all of my other classes combined. Plus, Muller is one of the most helpful profs out there. Take a class with him! You won't regret it!

Easily the second best prof I had in the 6 years of University. Adam was definitely the hardest marker but was more than willing to help students out to help learn further and even re-do papers when marks were satisfactory. I can understand why some people may feel he is condescending, but when you are as smart as Adam, I think it's allowed:)

He is a tough marker but if you go to him for help he is more than willing to help you improve your mark and writing. I definitely recommended taking any class with him!

He's very enthusiastic about teaching the class, but is also very arrogant and condescending. He refuses to believe any one else and automatically assumes their ideas are incorrect. Every paper he would say "you need to delve deeper, explain further" when I literally couldn't explain it any further than I already had. Don't take unless required.

Adam was one of the best profs I have ever had. He may be a tough marker but that is because he wants you to understand the material. Don't listen when people call him mean or an "intellectual snob." His knowledge is useful and if you give him a chance he will give you a chance.
