his Terrorism class was amazing. hands down one of the best classes I have ever taken. I never had him for any 2000 level classes, and that seems to be where the negative comments are coming from. Maybe he doesn't like freshman. This man is an absolute GENIUS. In case you didn't know he is one of the premier terrorism and arab-jewish studies scholars in the entire world. I learned more about the world in this class than anything I have ever taken. HE IS NOT A POMPOUS ASS. he is AWESOME.

What an ass. He thinks he's hillarious, but he's very self-righteous and pompous. Questions on his exam cover material that he goes over like a week after the exam. In the study sessions for exams he makes you feel like an idiot for asking a question. He thrives on making students feel stupid.

not a very nice guy to begin with. thinks hes hilarious, but tells terrible jokes. grades papers easily if you cite where it came from, but if you miss a quiz be prepared to go to the ends of the earth to make it up. his lectures are boring and off topic. get another professor if you can.

Rude as hell. Tests are hard to study for. You have very little overview as to what your grades are and have to hope for the best. Good luck trying to talk to the guy. He thinks he's hilarious but he's really just annoying. Fairly easy to pull a B though.

This professor is the most arrogant and unapproachable teacher I have even had. Tested us on obscure material never covered and had a total lack of consern for teaching. Turned a potentially interesting class into a joke.

Silverman has unfair tests, and thats the bottom line. Many questions on his test are from material that only gets overed 3 weeks AFTER the exam. I hate this class and I would recommed another professor.

very unhelpful and rude if you go to his office hours, test has questions that weren't in text or discussed, seems VERY unconcerned about his students, funny at first but it becomes really, really, obnoxious after a while, take someone else if possible.

Silverman knows more about the Middle East and Terrorism than anybody. Talks about Israel way too much, but keeps it funny. He is a pretty selfish guy who doesn't appreciate it when students steal his spotlight so to speak. Not the most approachable guy.
