This professor has a passion for the subject and appears to want us to succeed. He is very thorough on test reviews so take accurate notes and ask questions. What he teaches is on the tests, but so much comes from the textbook, which tends to emphasize how important certain topics are compared to slides. Read the book and go to class.

This class is an easy A if you have previous programming experience. If not, you might be in trouble. He is very helpful if you ask questions though, and he's probably one of the friendliest and smartest professors at UNO. He takes FOREVER to grade tests and homework, or at least his grad assistants do.

His focus is not in C++. He is a java guy. A few times in class he even asked questions he didn't know to the problems. If you want to learn and understand. Don't take him. Otherwise, I don't recommend at all.

I agree with everyone else. This teacher is not effective. Worst teacher I have had thus far. Tests are very easy, little to no participation required in class. If anything, the lab is the most useful part of the class. Never grades material and bores one to death with lecture material.Sadly, he seems as uninterested as the students.

If you like hearing your teacher when they talk, knowing when things are do, enjoy teachers being punctual and on time, as well as silencing and not answering their phone during class, avoid this guy. In addition to the overall pointlessness of the class, he is not an engaging teacher. The lab is useful, his lecture is not.

This class is very boring. You deff dont need to buy the book. The test questions come stright from the practice tests. He is VERY UNCLEAR about what he wants from us in class. He never grades anything on time. No one knew what to do for the homeworks and no one knew what the heck was going on most of the time. Dont take this guy.

He's ok. His class is very boring. If you study from the power points, half of what you study won't be on the exam. He's always late to class, which takes away from test time. Despite all this, his practice test study guide has the EXACT same questions as his exams.

For an intro class, it was ridiculous. He gets TOO detailed/talks too much. Waste of money on the book; he made his own chapters. Tests are UNBELIEVABLE. Short answers that require a full page of writing, T&F, and mult choice. Very unorganized, randomly cancels classes without telling you. Never grades things on time, or at all.
