If you have the chance to take Stanley then take her. She is easily the best professor I have ever had. She is not only entertaining but will stop her lecture if she sees that students are confused and will make sure every student has an understanding. She has 3 tests and you can drop one. Quizzes every week but they are from the problems she gives

Stanley is a true gem within the math department. DAM is unlike any other math class I've taken and she teaches it in a unique way. Even though she is a pure math professor, she gives feedback to the education majors about how to practice teaching skills in this presentation based class This class challenged my thinking and made me a better teacher

If you find yourself required to take Discrete and Argumentative Math, you are in for a treat. This class is not set up like a normal class, and it is awesome! Your classmates are more like coworkers, and your goal is to impress the boss (which is Stanley). They're are very few lectures, but when she does get up and lecture, they are great.

Very nice, basically a math genius, helpful in and outside of class. Assignments are not graded but it probably helps to do them (I did none and passed, wasn't easy).

Dr. Stanley is an amazing math prof. She is incredibly smart and one of the best professors I have ever had- I really look up to her. She is extremely helpful in all of the classes I have taken with her. Dr. Stanley will push you to learn while making it fun at the same time. She is very personable during class. I will miss her when I graduate.

It all depends on the class. Proactive classmates, class becomes bearable. Her lectures are actually pretty easy to follow, just do the suggested problems and you'll catch up with her easily. She's okay, but I wouldn't take her again - too much time spent on punching in numbers into the calculator in class. It can easily become boring over time.

Dr. Stanley is very nice. However, she believes in a student-led approach to teaching this class, which didn't work with my learning style. Her grading criteria is based on asking questions and presenting proofs in front of the class. Her lack of organization also bothered me. Nice woman, not my type of professor.

I took calc II with stanley. She is very smart and helpful, but her lectures are very unorganized. She doesn't develop lesson plans but sort of figures it out as she goes through the section. Makes it hard to keep track and take notes. She is nice with a good sense of humor but her lack of preparedness with no real structure made me annoyed at time

Good professor overall. Really liked her. Doesn't seem very organized but she is. Forgets to give quizzes sometimes and will just give 100%. Curves the tests. Allows you to drop 1 out of 3 and 2 quizzes out of 12.

Stanley is a great educator and well-educated. Do be warned that she teaches in a manner that is almost too interactive though. If you come to class be prepared to be completely invested in the topic and completely mentally exhausted afterwards.

Adrienne is extremely smart, very laid back, and incredibly helpful if you need it. She focuses heavily on participation and student-led lessons, but she's very kind and does a great job of making everybody feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend her classes!

Tough class. I did well in Calc 1 with a different teacher, but had trouble with Stanley. She asks questions and will wait till someone answers. The problem is people don't even understand what she's asking. Not terrible, but wouldn't recommend her either.

Probably the best math instructor I've ever had. If you're not following the lecture, ask a question and she will drill down to the details to make things understandable. Homework is optional, but to do well in the course you really need to do the problem assignments.

She was really fun and I liked how she always had a good sense of humor and cared about her students. However, I thought her class was really hard, even though I breezed through Calc 1. Her tests and quizzes were my downfall. There is a quiz every wednesday and "suggested" problems every class period.

Adrienne is an AMAZING professor!!! She always comes to class with an awesome energy that just fills the room. She never wears shoes! She gives a quiz/test every Wednesday, but these are really easy if you take notes and especially easy if you do the suggested problems, PLUS you get to throw out a bad quiz and test. SHE IS AWESOME!!!! TAKE HER!!!
