So far I've taken courses at 4 different universities in Canada and abroad and I've never met a professor who cares about his students as much as Mr. Hanna. He takes his time to explain material and even schedules extra lectures out of his own free time to make sure no student gets left behind. Truly one of a kind and a gem among professors.

He is a really good professor. Doesn't allow student using phones in class. This course is kinda hard for me but he helps a lot. I will definitely take his class with higher level courses. Btw I like every tie he wears to class.

Great professor, really makes sure everyone understands the material and goes very slowly through the topics, and makes things very practical and rarely relies on powerpoint slides. However, since he goes so slowly, you probably won't get through all the material required for the exams and you'll have to learn some of the later stuff on your own...

Comment:

I'm taking his Comp 249 and Comp 352 with him this fall. This is my second time taking 249. His lecture made me understand java much better. Complete java code with clear comment also helps a lot. As for 352, Hanna's lecture and read his slides is way better than the textbook. You can also tell he is a man of integrity from his words.

This professor is one of the best teacher I've met in Concordia. His lectures are well organized and he really cares about students' understanding. I didn't register the course but I attended every lecture and every time I had a question he is so patient to answer clearly after class. Not just lists the results, he explains the reasons well.

I have a graduate data structure course (Comp 5511) but since I don't understand from my own teacher I attend in Dr. Hanna's class. He is the best teacher I have ever seen. Just consider that although attendance is not mandatory, his class is always full and you see several extra chairs in the class occupied with students who are not registered!

Best professor I have met in this university. He really cares about whether his students understand the material. He even volunteer his own time to add more classes to cover all material scheduled. Very brilliant and smart and knowledgeable professor. I would like to give him a A++++ for his dedicated work.

Extremely helpful and responsible profressor. He explains really clear and makes this course interesting. Try to think about questions he asks on lecture and questions he leaves for you, and take notes when he says this is extremely important. this is my second time learning data structure, and still learn a lot. Greatest professor EVER!!

He is good at teaching. But there is one thing he makes me very annoyed. He is always late for class and has never finished class on time. He extends class 30 minutes usually. During the exam, it was scheduled as 1-hour exam but he extends to 1 hour 40 minutes and this is because he gives too many questions. All in all, he is very unorganized.
