I loved his class. I had him for a literature class instead of an English composition, so we didn't really write essays. Easy to get a good grade as long as you read the books assigned, show up, and post in discussion boards. He makes his expectations clear. This class made me realize how much I love to read and need to make more time for it.

Dr. Atteberry is a good teacher. He 's pretty clear on what you need to turn in to do well. You need to know basic grammar to do well, which should not be that difficult in college. He did have little tips that were helpful. I'm a better writer because of him.

Dr. Atteberry is, perhaps, too good for UPT. He is demanding, but fair---and that will prepare students in the future. Most my acted like they were still in Jr. High---coming to class in pajamas, sleeping and texting in class. Half of our class could not write a correct grammatical sentence, and Dr. Atteberry tried to help, if they wanted it.

Not a bad professor. I think students at UPT were just lazy. Seriously, it's not hard to write a one page journal double spaced about anything you want and get full credit if you submit them on time. I wrote about my daily routine in one of the entries. Although he is a bit tough on grading papers but go see him during his office hours.

Phil Atteberry's English and Music courses were the only ones where I actually learned something at UPT. I absolutely regret attending University of Pittsburgh. However I did enjoy Atteberry's courses. The ONLY reson why you see bad comments about him is because 90% of the kids in Titusville are still at ~8th grade level and extremely lazy.

he is a very down to earth thorough teacher. i wouldnt ask for anyone else. althogh he has been known to grade essays very difficultly. quizes and materials are great

Avoid at all cost! This man should not be allowed to teach. He degrades students in their papers and doesnt accept any opnions other then his own. If you write a paper that goes against his beliefs you will automatically fail.... BAD BAD BAD
