Comment:

He's a good professor and I'd absolutely take another class with him. He'll end up making stupid dad jokes and some of them are cringe worthy, but it does help you deal with some of the dryer material in the class. The one thing I didn't like was that your entire grade was based off of the midterm and final, it puts a lot of pressure on you.

Comment:

Class was very lecture-based, and lectures could get confusing. Especially when he went on frequent tangents that were distracting. Joked a lot, and was light-hearted, at least. The class was stressful for me, because the only grades were 2 exams with 100 questions total, and 1 question directly correlated to 1 point on my grade in the course.

Comment:

Interesting professor with a great sense of humor. Substantial experience in the realm of politics and great expertise with the topics. With ECO312 he would let classes out early, he gave only two tests (both of which were easy), and, as said above, he was very captivating.

This class is a great change of pace from the other graduate courses. I love coming from a long day of SAS programming and model analysis to a class where I can just give my option with out to much fuss. Dr Al is a great lecture and he makes us learn from on another during our presentations. He ask us hard questions and let us discuss them.

His final brought me from an A to a C. It actually ruined my GPA which is why I'm retaking it now. His jokes are not funny. His voice is annoying and he looks like the penguin from batman.

YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY A TEXTBOOK! he wrote his own book which is like 50 pages and you can print for less than 5 dollars. He has only 3 tests and they are very easy if you study the material. If you dont study your screwed ( this class doesnt require much reading).

Best teacher ever! 3 tests. Not hard as long as you learn the material. Attendance in my class was poor. I can't imagine too many came out with a good grade. Teaches from custom book written by Dr. Link himself! that is free in PDF form on blackboard. I suggest printing it out, but print it at kinkos or the library, about $5.

Dr. Link is a great professor. He's funny and nice and I always enjoyed coming to class. He wants to make sure that everyone understands the material. He gets really excited when everyone is doing well and it seems as if everyone is understand the material. He really cares about his students.

If you dont like going to class and you are a horrible test taker... do not take his class. if you dont mind going to class and paying attention then you should take this guy. Dr. Link is really funny and keeps things interesting. take him and make yourself go to class and you will reap the benefits!

I loved this class and this man! I had math and economics, but loved this class! He is enjoyable and fun! I just loved listening to him! I am horrible at this stuff and didn't even study, but still passed the class with a B! I was very happy with that!
