Had him a couple of years ago--very good critic, very helpful about the basics, very good about encouraging creativity. I thiught I was pretty good, but he taught me stuff that really moved me forward. Don't take him if you just want an easy grade--take him if you want to be abetter artist. I'd take him again if I had the chance.

He is a great teacher. Demanding, but that is why I learned something. His lectures are very interesting, & even though I took art in high school I learned a lot of new approcahes form him, as well as how to see my own work more critically. I wanted to take him again this fall but didn't see him on the schedule. If you get the chance, take him.

Biased teacher. If you want to learn how to actually DRAW something, you won't. Get ready for lots of ovals, etc. Naso talks a lot about his own experiences. I received a B despite doing all the homework, trying my hardest, and attending class.
