Yeah...pretty much everyone has came to the same consent. Big Al isn't exactly what you call a "great professor". He gets off topic all the time talking about vodka, and random stuff. Over half of class is pointless. The lecture notes are useless when it comes to the test, & the tests are hard!

Very mundane and verbose. Bigel is much better and should be the one teaching political statistical methods! If at all possible, try to keep thinking of Bigel while you are in Nelson's class and then you might survive. Bigel is superior to all his co-workers in the Poli. Sci. Department!!!!!!!

The only good thing about this class is that the tests are multiple choice/true false. Lecture is very boring and weird, he gets off topic and talks about drinking and complains about his kids. After the first week people stopped giving him pity laughs for his stupid jokes, but that didnt stop him

He gets REALLY excited about his lectures, but you better read to understand him. Tests are big challenge for most, but you get to regrade them, so that helps. He gets really unclear. Entertaining guy, but I didn't learn much.
