allan stegeman is an amazing man. literally too nice. there are 3 quizzes, 3 essays, 2 extra credit essays & a participation grade. final exam is take home. a pretty easy grader--- i never participated in discussion & rarely showed up & finished with a b+ without the final. as long as you get deep in your essays, he'll enjoy & give you full points.

He's very passionate about what he teaches and makes the lectures interesting and engaging. The active discussions in class are great to share your opinions, but your grade won't rely on it. The papers are opinion-based and allow for a lot of freedom, and were pretty easy IMO. Make sure you do the readings and pay attention for the occasional quiz.

He's a good guy. You can tell he loves teaching, and loves what he's teaching about. Just read and participate-that's all you guys. If you focus too much on his looks and the quantity of reading assignments, you're missing the whole point of college.

A lot of readings ( 2 books and 30 + newspaper samples.)3 Papers, and bi weekly quizzes, which are fairly easy. Fun professor that likes people to be interactive with the class discussions.

A little preachy in teaching style. Grading point system doesn't make much sense. Decent sense of humor, usually keeps class interesting. His Media Deprivation assignment is idiotic, but even if you don't make the full week, it's usually best to say you did on your paper or you'll lose mucho points, even if you get the "right" answer.

Read his handouts because you will be tested on them. His projects can be confusing and he will lose you if you talk to him in person. He demands participation in his class so if you plan on sleeping in class, don't bother showing up. He needs to ditch the biker look.

i would suggest that you go out of your way to avoid his help as much as possible with sr. project. i'm pretty sure he has no clue what is going on. good guy, but a little directionless, and tends to make things much more confusing than they need to be. and he throws desks in class sometimes if nobody answers his questions. this has happened more than once.

This guy is all about class participation. If you speak up a lot and contribute, it really doesn't matter what course work you do. He remembers names and faces and greets you on campus well after the class has ended. Great, enthusiastic guy.

Easy prof... I took him for most of my comm classes. He doesn't demand a lot of work but when he does it counts for big points. He uses a point system for grading. Read the materials he hands out because they will be on a test.

The dude needs to diversify his wardrobe. Other than that, he doesn't demand a lot of work and its an easy class.
