The Lobonater was one of my favorite teachers. Really nice guy and breaks things down so they're easy to understand. Lectures are sometimes boring, but his pictures are fantastic!! He draws lipid bilayers like it's his job. Tests are tough, but not impossible.

Really, really, really nice guy! I had his class the first time he ever taught Molecular Bio. Although the class was pretty interesting, we barely cracked the book open and I didn't feel like I had learned much for a 400-level course. I enjoyed his teaching style more in the lab than in class. But if you ever need extra help, he makes himself available and truly cares about his students.

I wanted to be a bio major, until I took this class (well, and 111 with Dawley). Better in lab than he was in lecture, but a real stickler for technique and punctuality. In retrospect, not so bad, but not so good, either.

i have to agree, he's not the most dynamic speaker... that voice puts you in a zone. but he knows what he's talking about and uses nice chalkboard drawings to explain the cycles. he doesn't hint at what's on the tests at all... so good luck

Not the most dynamic speaker. Fell asleep in his class almost everyday, and i sat in the front row. He did know what he was talking about and attempted to explain concepts if there were questions.

Dr. Lobo is my all-time favorite Bio prof. I've had him for Microbio and Molecular. He's definitely challenging, but really fair and has a good sense of humor. Take his classes if you have the opportunity!

I've had Micro and Molecular with this guy, and he is SO cool. His lecture style in Micro was divinely clean and easy to follow, and although Molecular is more discussion of journals, it's still cool. Lobo rules!!!!
