amazing professor, I was scared to take this class because of the rep it has but it was not as bad as everyone says. he lets you know everything that's going to be on the test, gives extra credit opportunities, and in general is just an amazing and inspirational professor. Would definitely recommend taking him

Wakin is a great professor, really caring and understanding! He gives lectures without powerpoints or writing anything down but goes slow enough and will always stop to answer questions or repeat anything if needed. He uses great real life examples to help teach material. He takes a class to review for a test, but still study. The final is optional

Expect lots of group work for systems. Excellent mind, but not the best professor. Often very critical of students and hard grader, but I really learned so much from his class, more so than any other psych class I've ever taken. If you're up for the challenge, take him!

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. He enjoys making you feel stupid, he tells stories every class that have nothing to do with what you will be tested one, he loves the sound of his own voice, if you ask a qustion and get it wrong he wont provide the correct answer and most importantly the test are beyond difficult. RUN!

Everyone is scared to take Prof Wakin but honestly, he is one of the best profs at SHU. Is Systems & Theories hard? Yes. But at least you actually learn something. He challenges you so that you actually understand the material instead of just memorizing things and forgetting later. I am so thankful for having taken this class. Thanks Prof Wakin!

The class is tough only because there's a lot of material; to do well you have to read and study-dedicate time to the class and you'll do fine.As a professor he is by far my favorite clearly puts in a lot of time preparing and is VERY helpful.Loved the class because of how it was taught and will definitely carry what I learned out of the classroom!

Absolutely AMAZING professor. Class was a little difficult, but it was also life changing. My favorite professor at Sacred Heart. Keeps you interested in class and uses a lot of stories and examples to further help you understand. Take him if possible!

Professor Wakin was one of the best professors I've ever had! He is absolutely delightful and adorable! He has a personal story for just about everything to clarify the topic and they make it so much more interesting! He really involves the class with activities all the time. He also gives tons of opportunities for extra credit.Loved him! Take him!

He really knows how to make you feel stupid. His tests are extremely difficult, and it seems like he is deliberately putting trick questions on the test. He claims his tests don't require memorization, they just require you to think, but you need to memorize EVERYTHING he says in order to do decent. He just thinks hes better than everyone.

world most horrible professor, run in the other direction. He is rude, opinionated and takes joy in making you feel stupid. He tries to make you "think" but all you want to do is run in the other direction. You are in physical pain sitting in his class. Wont give help and tests are impossible. Don't take this class unless you want to fail

Any class this man taught was made an unforgettable, enlightening experience. I learned more in his classes than any other class that's simply run from a textbook. If people are looking to just pass an elective, this is not the prof. to take, but if you have a legitimate interest in psychology, he's the perfect professor.
