What an amazing teacher. This guy turns english comp into a fun subject, and presents enough options on writing assignments, that you never feel like you're writing about something you have no interest in. This is a class where hard work is rewarded with a A+.

It doesn't get much easier than this. He lets you make up your essay topics and we watched like 4 movies in this class. Laid back, easy going. Take this man!

i took his online class. he accepted way late projects and papers. everyone whom did all of the homework were able to skip the final and midterms and still get full credit. he was always willing to help and offer words of wisdom

I highly recommend this teacher. He is very helpful. Willing to work with you. Assignments are very easy to understand. If for some reason you don't, email him and he will explain. Final is easy. I made an A in his web based class. Ive heard hes even better on campus

I took him twice back when I was still at TCC. After several years at FSU and looking back at all the professors i've ever had, I can wholeheartedly say that he was the best one ever. Period. Take any and every class with him you can. You won't regret it.

Mericckel is easy as long as you pay attention and get your papers turned in on time. If you expect a teacher who will just pass you through with an A, then dont take this class. Merickel is a very dedicated teacher goes to great lengths to help the students who really cares about their grade.

I like the way this man thinks, english is stupid and boring no matter what but the way he thinks makes you pay attention a little a bit, which helps in passing the class. Make sure he agrees with whatever you right about though because he grades sometimes to whether he agress with your agruement.

Mr. Merickel is one of the greatest instructors that I have had; however, I still believe that Dr. McMahon will never be beat. Either will be a great choice.
