Professor does not respond to emails well. If you're looking for an easy online class this isn't the one, to do well on the tests you need to know the material and you can't cheat, all tests are proctored by the honor lock system. Quizzes are easy A's, but the tests are what will get you. There's a couple assignments but other than that it's tests.

He gave 6% (!) just for attendance. He gave a long assignment for 6% and if you turn in before spring break you'll get 3% extra pts. For the first 4 exams, read the glossary from the textbooks. For the final exam, besides the glossary, review the papers of the first 4 exams thoroughly.

Professor James Muchovej is fine but gets off the subject. I take him for both lecture and lab. You have to study for tests: for lecture- vocabulary from the back of the book helps a lot. For lab-study your notes and watch videos, do your homework before each class & quizzes after each class in time. Online quizzes are timed but 3 times to try.

Must show up for lab. He covered for his wife a few times--this is how I got him. I honestly like him better. He explains things clearly and is willing to help. He was more involved in lab. Great teacher and cracks jokes to keep you interested. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Muchovej is an outstanding professor. I took him over the summer in a 10 week course. He makes the exams short and easy to understand. Hands back all tests and 3 attempts per quiz. He has funny stories to help relate the material to real life situations.

Super cool dude. Tells lots of really interesting stories, but the material itself is pretty boring. The lectures can feel long and drawn out, and not very helpful. But most of the quiz material and study guides are online, so studying isn't too difficult. I think having a true interest in the material helps earn a better grade.

Awesome! Must take, great teacher, lenient, helpful... tho the content is a lot to take in, he provides study guides and the questions are almost verbatim from the book or his lectures. Attendance not mandatory, but there are points to be earned if you show up!

I loved taking his lab. He puts everything on Blackboard & if you watch his vids & read the notes before each lab, then it'll be a breeze. Muchovej makes it so interesting & he's very helpful. He gives you practically everything you need for the midterm & final. I made an 'A' & didn't have to spend hours upon hours of studying to get it. TAKE HIM!

Mr Muchovej is an extremely nice guy. He makes it obvious that he is there to help you. His tests aren't easy, but he gives very helpful study guides. There's four tests, a paper and a pathogens spread sheet. He is very accommodating to his student's schedules if you need to take an exam early or late. Funny guy, wonderful teacher!

Talks more about his personal life, rather than teaching about Micro. Wrote several emails to get some one on one help and he never responded. His test are hard, I'm withdrawing and taking again next semester with someone different. Must go to class, he takes attendance daily. DO NOT TAKE!

I went into this class without taking A&P 1 and 2 or any biology and it made it more challenging for me. If you have these classes under your belt you will do fine. The teacher is great! If you are struggling at all in anyway he will sit down with you and help you. I would recomend him! Go to class and do his study guides and you will do well.

It's difficult to take notes from Muchovej's lectures, he's all over the place. Thankfully, the book is written well and is an interesting read. Count on reading it because you will be predominately self-taught. His lectures are only supplements to the reading material. He requires a paper for the course but is somewhat lax about the requirements.

easiest tests ever if you have taken a&p I or bsc I. could be worded better, i.e. "choose the best answer". first test took me 15 min to complete. epic digresser and somewhat opinionated, but that just adds flavor to the lecture. I did learn quite a bit from him. Got to love his irrelevant calculations on the board too. study the def.'s if you must

Great professor. Lectures are interesting. Attendance is part of the grade. Getting the paper in early boosts your grade up incredibly high. Do the pathogen list a little bit every week. Read the text book and study the guide he hands out. He tells you what is on the test if you listen, he stresses what is on the test.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Muchovej. He is very straight forward about what he expects and definitely makes it clear what is necessary to earn an A. Attendance is mandatory, study the reviews, get ahead on your pathogen list.
