Honestly, I would not take this teacher. He is very knowledgable and knows his stuff, but I honestly believe he does not want his students to succeed. Each quiz average we had this past year was under a C or near a C and there was no opportunity for change that. Do not use the text book. Also, his quizzes are hard, know your stuff. NOT EASY CLASS

Amazing teacher. Knows just about everything about music and really wants you to learn. You have to do the work and try yourself, but he'll help you any way he can. Treats students as equals, which sometimes involves him being a hard-ass, but he's a funny guy and truly wants you to succeed.

Intro to Non-European Music: Well-prepared with lecture notes and music samples. Follows the book closely. Study up and you'll be OK. It's a big class and he keeps it moving, tho' he often gets cranky at students who talk in class (held in the recital hall, a very "live" room).

I've had many classes with Alan, from Music Business 1 all the way through Music Tech Society. He's also my advisor. He's an extremely intelligent man, and is always willing to help out his students. The classes are easy if you just get your work done, and if you find the subject matter interesting. Alan is awesome!

He kinda looks like Chandler from Friends. Class was okay but there are easier choices for electives. 10 page paper(40%), mid term(15%), 6 CDs to remember final(30%) and attendence(15%). Don't buy the books. I didn't even read them. They have no resale value. Good guy, but I wouldn't take it again. I was not interested in subject matter.

Pretty easy class. Lots of stoners come to listen to weird music and he does'nt care. You really dont have to listen to the crap he assigns in the library because I didnt and still got an A-. Just come to class ON TIME, becuase he is an annoying stickler for being on time. Other than that, you can doodle and sleep if you wish. Decent Prof. A
