To get an A in this class you definitely have to pay attention and attend lectures. Focus on the examples she gives. Take good and detailed notes and study that and you'll be fine. Also don't zone out when she goes through the slides at the end, a lot of test questions are based on if you paid attention to them.

Dr Sukhdeo is FANTASTIC !! A gem !! She has a cooky / raunchy humor to her and brings her A game to every lecture .. No book / No powerpoint .. she writes notes on projector, just copy what she writes and u have plenty to study from .. only "negative" to some is there are only 3 exams and a few (layup) quizzes .. if u struggle on them hard to pass

She tries to make the lectures funny to keep people awake since it is early in the morning. Overall, you must take all the notes she writes because the exams are straight from those notes (no textbook). Also lab is worth about 45%-50% of your entire bio grade so make sure you are doing well on those labs!

Rude and condescending. Not funny even if she thinks she is. Not very understanding of situations. People only like her bc the class information is interesting but she's not a great professor.

I absolutely loved Dr. Sukhdeo! This was my favorite class in the spring semester of 2017. She is just simply the best teacher Rutgers has to offer. She is very knowledgeable in her field and makes learning tough things like ecology a breeze to understand. Beware, however, this class is LECTURE heavy, there is no text book. Lots of easy pop quizzes

Easy class. Just show up and takes detailed notes since nothing is posted online. She handwrites the notes on the projector so the pace isn't crazy fast. 3 exams. Non-cumulative. Very easy if you read the night before. Easy B with minimal effort.

I HATE SCIENCE, But I love Professor Sukhdeo. She's funny and her teaching style helps you retain the information. Only downside is the random quizzes. Besides that, I always felt over prepared for the exams. She holds many test reviews and genuinely wants you to do well, as long as you put the work and effort in.

Prof is one of the best people you will meet. She is fun, hilarious, informative, and very helpful. Her instructions are also clear: come to class, you pass; dont, you fail. Her quizzes are mostly easy if you review the notes but it counts for a pretty big part of your grade so think about it. Expect to have a laugh during every class!

She is a great teacher. Really makes going to lecture fun. However, attendance is mandatory as there is a quiz beginning of every class period which is rough for a 915 class. Also material is difficult. But as a teacher she is a solid lecturer! Hilarious lady who loves to talk about bodily functions and sex lol. No textbook which is a plus.

She teaches the first half of animal behavior, this class was by far the class i loved most at Rutgers so far. You actually learn a lot and it's useful stuff. U HAVE TO GO TO LECTURES pay attention and take good notes which isn't hard because the material is really interesting, review before the test to make sure u understand it and ull get an A.

She makes the material interesting, and is definitely one of the funniest science professors I've had. Attendance is mandatory--there is no book, so you gotta stay awake for her notes. Easy B, put a little effort to take good notes and get an A.

Comment:

Extremely Easy Class. Attendance is mandatory since she does not post notes on line. The first half of the course Evolution of Animal Behavior is taught by her and the last half is taught by her husband. Her exams are straight from the notes, all you have to do is dedicate a decent 2 hrs or so the night or day before the exam and read over!
