Alba, oh Alba. I was deadly terrified of her at the beginning of the year but I just fell in love with her cuteness and dedication to her students by the end of the semester. When she is mad or it is obvious that you didn't work hard, she will yell at you and probably be a little salty but work diligently in her class and HW and you'll do fine.

Her assignments are really inspirational and really help to develop my 3D thinking. She shows her emotion on her face when she is pleased or disappointed (disappointed means she thinks you are definitely smart enough to do better but you didn't).I learn a lot from her. I LOVE HER. So lucky to be in her section.

I'm in my first year of grad school, after getting my BFA in sculpture from RISD. I still think of Alba's class as one of my most influential and educational. You'd be lucky to have her.

The entire semester could have been boiled down and been a lot more effective if she were not so... I don't know exactly what to say here. She has a quick temper that she unleashes on anyone because she seems to think of all her students as inferior. That said though, there is something to get from her class... most likely.

honestly, she scared me a bit in the beginning, but as long as you listen, act interested in the assignments, are respectful, and attentive you will be fine. She expects hard work from her students (she is a risd grad, so shes been in your shoes). Definitely worth taking her class- you will learn alot.

She's a complete lunatic. She knows what she's doing..but she will get ANGRY when you make mistakes. She will blame you for your mistakes. She has no patience. You can't ask her questions, because they may set her off. She has no patience for her students. She should quit.

She was amazing. As long as you finish your work, she doesn't hate you. I happened to love her, and she was definitely my favorite prof in RISD. she actually cares about you. A lot of people hate her, becuase her class is HARD, and you really have to work!!! but everyone learns alot at the end, she's amazing.

I hated her throughout the semester, I hated her with a passion. Her class consists of figure modeling (depends on which semester) form studies, and so on. GET ON HER GOOD SIDE, and really work hard, you can't turn in a half-baked model and expect something pleasant from her. You'll learn a lot and it's SO rewarding in the end.

Oh I hated her, yes, but I learned a lot from her and ultimately I'm glad I took the class even if I still hate her to this day. If you don't get what she says the first time, she will think you are being insubordinate and she will yell (oh boy will she yell). Not for the faint of heart but you won't learn more in any other 3D class than in here.

Youll either love her or hate her and the same will go with her opinion about you. I found her to be very nice and helpful and I certainly learned a ton but if you come late to class, take her stool or tools, cause a disruption or dont do your work, you will see her literally explode.

Alba's such a cute old lady, just don't get on her nerves or she'll get cranky. I love her projects and her class in general. She has so much to teach you.
